Is Far Cry 5 Crossplay? – Primal Adventures Across Platforms

Far Cry 5 is a first-person shooter in an open-world environment in the fictional Hope County, Montana. This game puts you against a cult called the Project at Eden’s Gate, led by a fanatic called Joseph Seed. The open-world gameplay features exploration, combat, and a variety of resistance-based missions, helping the resistance fight back the cult.

The developers have been creating new opportunities for players to play with one another in multiplayer experiences, especially with their friends and family on different platforms. In this article, we will go into what we know about Far Cry 5’s crossplay functionality.

Is Far Cry 5 Crossplay?

Far Cry 5 has a multiplayer mode, the same as many other open-world titles. This allows players to join forces and embark on adventures within the large world of Hope County and compete in various ways.

But even with this, there’s still a question asked by the people, and that is “Is Far Cry 5 Crossplay?.” And to answer that: no. Unfortunately, there is no crossplay in Far Cry 5.

Much like RPG titan Elden Ring, not only is there no crossplay available now, it’s likely there never will be. But that doesn’t mean you can’t play with your friend. As long as you and your friend are playing on the same platform (e.g. you’re all on PCs), you’ll be able to invite them to multiplayer sessions.

One of the best parts of the multiplayer experience is that they offer a “drop in, drop out” system. That means that if you want to play the story on your own for a while, you don’t have to wait for friends. You can simply keep on playing and they can join whenever they want.

Cross-Progression Challenges

If you’re the kind of player who loves to play across consoles, it’s also worth remembering that Far Cry 5 does not support cross-progression. When you start on a specific platform, you cannot move your data to another, and you will have to start from scratch on another platform.

While we’d love to see a Far Cry 5 cross-platform option, we’ll have to content ourselves with multiplayer.
