Here’s a quick guide on how to run those dubs in Apex.

Apex Legends Duos Mode

It’s worth noting that Apex Legends duos were less popular than the main mode of Trios, and even Solos. As a result, Apex Legends duos did get cut from the initial selection roster back in May 2024.

As of Season 24, Apex Legends has reintroduced the Duos game mode. The standard Duos mode went live on March 11, 2025, and will run until March 24, 2025

With Singles taking Duos place now, and the addition of Quads, if you’re looking to get that same sort of Duos feel, the recommended way to play is Quads to climb up the Apex ranks. This mode is where you’re more likely to run with and against other squads of 2 independent Duos.

If and when Duos comes back, the method of access will be the same.

First, head to the game’s main menu. Before actually hitting Play, you’ll want to make sure your queue type is set to “Duos”. This mode pairs you and a partner against other teams of two, making for fast-paced and intense gameplay. It’s as easy as that.

In Duos, teamwork is everything. Make sure you’re communicating with your partner, whether through voice chat or the game’s ping system. Mark enemies, loot, and locations to keep your duo on the same page.

Choose Complementary Legends

Pick Legends whose abilities complement each other. For example, pairing Bloodhound’s tracking with Wraith’s mobility can give you both strategic advantages in fights. Bangalore may be a must-pick from the Apex Legends tier list in Trios, but when your teams are just 2, individual synergies can be better than just putting someone in Bangalore Jail.
