BLAST Spring Finals 2022 – Predicting the winners all four openers

The BLAST Premier Spring season is set to conclude this week with the LAN finals at the Altice Arena in Lisbon, Portugal. For eight eligible teams, there is $425,000 USD on the line, and a direct invite into the World Finals at year end.

Two double-elimination format (GSL) Groups will play out initially, and the opening matches are crucial for a solid run into the event. It’s only logical we try to predict all four opening match winners from the get go.

So, here goes…

BLAST Spring Final Schedule

FaZe Clan vs paiN

This is by far the biggest mismatch in the BLAST Spring Final. FaZe is currently the #1 CSGO team in the world and they are playing Counter-Strike on a high level right now. On the other hand, paiN is a mediocre team based in Brazil that really did not show much in recent outings.

The logic is simple for this prediction. Overall, FaZe is better everywhere. They have a deeper map pool and their individual skill is miles away once compared to paiN players. The fact is, the odds on FaZe to win this best of three series are very low. This is why we are going for a bet that is a bit more profitable.

Prediction: FaZe Clan to win 2:0
Odds: 1.35

G2 vs Vitality

Neither G2 nor Vitality are not at their best right now. Even though G2 did get the better of Vitality the last time they met at IEM Dallas 2022, we were not happy with what we saw from them. Everything in that match was just brute-forced and this can only work so often.

When it comes to map veto, one thing is certain. NiKo and his squad will for sure get a comfortable pick for themselves, that being Inferno. Bear in mind that they did not lose on this map for a while now and this is for sure their playground. Vitality, on the other hand, will have two maps to choose from. They can go for either Dust 2 or Mirage. Keep in mind that they got battered by G2 on Dust 2 at IEM Dallas, so they will probably look to go for Mirage this time around.

All in all, G2 will have it their way on Inferno, but the question remains, what can Vitality do on their map pick. From our point of view, we believe that a similar scenario will occur and G2 will come out on top.

Prediction: G2 to win
Odds: 1.42

Natus Vincere vs OG

The reality is, there is not much to say about this match. Natus Vincere is arguably the best CSGO team in the world, but right now, they have a problem. Not so long ago, NaVi benched their in-game leader, Boombl4.

We are worried whether this change will affect the team or will they continue with their super aggressive playstyle. One thing is for sure, s1mple and his crew are better in every aspect of CSGO and we do not believe that they will let this one slip away from them. The best part about this match is that the odds on Natus Vincere to win are really good and they provide a nice boost to your accumulators.

Prediction: Natus Vincere to win
Odds: 1.45

ENCE vs BIG

Last but not least, we are providing you with a solid pick for this match. ENCE played on a really high level throughout IEM Dallas and they were even able to reach the finals. There is no shame in losing to Cloud9, and if they can bring that performance to this event as well, we would not be surprised if they reached another final.

Even though the odds on ENCE to win this match are not that high, we are still fairly confident that they will dispatch of BIG with ease, especially because they have a much deeper map pool.

Prediction: ENCE to win
Odds: 1.40
