Diablo 4 Druid Build – Get The Most Out Of Your Gameplay

During the beta release of Diablo 4, many players had issues with the Druid class. It felt like it was a bit underpowered compared to others. However, the class has been appropriately adjusted, leading to one Blizzard developer to state that the Druid class might just be one of the strongest. Now that the game is out, maybe it is time to learn more about the Diablo 4 Druid build, class, and how to make progress.

Druid Class

This class is described as a savage shapeshifter that can quickly transform into a vicious werewolf or a giant bear. Druid also fights alongside the creatures of the wild while commanding the power of storm, wind, and earth. Spirit has made its return to Diablo 4 as the class’s resource. Monk players from its predecessor should already be familiar with how this resource functions.

The spirit has a natural cap of 100 and won’t replenish or decrease over time. Instead, you generate it by casting spammable Basic Skills or more powerful Spirit Skills. Spirit also improves some Druid talents in general. The main unique mechanic of Druid was still not revealed, so that is something we have to look forward to. Diablo 4 classes have all gotten some changes, and here is what you need to know about the Druid build.

The Best Diablo 4 Druid Build

There are a couple of builds you can consider for this class. It depends on whether you wish to transform between forms, be tanky, maximize crits, or do a little bit of everything. Druid is a fun class, especially if you have a build in mind. Here at esports guides, we’ll discuss the tankiest build, along with some other options.

Earth Build

The Earth build prioritizes tankiness, enhancing survivability and allowing you to withstand significant damage. It also provides a lot of CC, allowing you to easily control enemy movements. Last but not least, this class delivers lots of damage to enemies, making the build great against a group of enemies.

Main features

  • Talents and passives will provide Fortify bonuses or bonus damage to enemies who are CC’d.
  • Your main skill is the Landslide and Pulverize, which are powerful AoE attacks and CC abilities.

Basic Skills

Your basic skill will be Maul, which transforms you into a Werebear as you attack enemies. It gives you a 14% hit chance as you fortify every time you hit the enemies with the Enhanced Maul Perk (which gives you 2% health).

Spirit Skills

Pulverize is a Werebear attack slamming the ground and dealing AoE damage to the enemies around you. The upgraded version, Enhanced Pulverize, will give you the Overpower perk. This perk works only if you remain healthy every 12 seconds, as it increases your damage scaling with life and fortify stats.

Defensive Skills

Considering its tankiness, it’s not surprising that the Druid is a more defensive class. Here you have two main skills. The first is the Earthen Bulwark, which will surround you with rocks for 3 seconds, allowing you to absorb 10% of the base life in damage, thus protecting you from enemies. The enhanced version of this skill makes you Unstoppable when it is active. The second one is called Debilitating Roar, which turns you into the Werebear, unleashing a roar that’ll reduce damage from your enemies by 70% for 4 seconds.

Companion Skills

Druids can bring pets with them, and selecting a wolf is definitely the right choice. Your pet will bite your enemies, and you can direct them to attack. Enhancing your companion will deal increased damage to enemies who are stunned, slowed, poisoned, or immobilized.

Wrath Skills

Trample will turn you into a Werebear, giving you the Unstoppable perk as you charge forward and inflict damage to enemies while knocking them back. Enemies you knock into a wall will receive extra damage, and they are stunned for 3 seconds. Enhanced Trample will add extra bonus damage, while the Savage Trample gives you a valuable spirit resource. Pair Crushing Earth with any skill that inflicts any CC to get some extra perks. You can also consider getting Stone Guard, which will increase the skill damage.

Ultimate Skills

Here, you should get Grizzly Rage, which will transform you into a Dire Werebear for 10 seconds, giving you 20% damage reduction from foes and 20% bonus damage. This bonus damage will increase by 3% for every second you are in this form. Thus, if you can extend the ultimate duration, you can easily defeat your enemies.

Other Diablo 4 Druid Builds to Consider

Storm Druid Build

With this skill, you are given bonus damage to immobilize targets. Deliver increased damage to enemies when they are vulnerable, and enhance your impact on the battlefield. The critical strike chance effect will boost the possibility of landing critical hits.

Main features

  • Ability to turn Wolf skills into Storm skills, providing you with new synergies and gameplay options.
  • You can turn your wolf companion into lightning wolves, casting and dealing lightning damage.

Dedicated Wolf or Bear Build

There will be two build options to choose from:

  • The Wolf Build – will focus on single-target damage and healing, which is great for those who prefer precise strikes and self-sustain while being able to quickly eliminate targets.
  • The Bear Build – will focus on AoE damage, tankiness, and CC, which is quite similar to the Earth build. It is ideal for those who want a durable character that can deal a lot of damage to more enemies simultaneously.

This is a shapeshifting build that involves switching between the Wolf and Bear forms to increase its passives and bonuses and allowing yourself to adapt to all kinds of situations on the battlefield. However, you need to be aware that it is important to know how to time your shapeshifts properly.

Pet Builds

The pet build allows you to summon companions similar to the Necromancer class. That pet will assist you in battle. With increased damage for core skills, your build will scale in power, allowing more allies to join the battlefield.

Main Features

  • The core skills should include the Landslide or Tornado, which enable the Druid class to deal damage from a safer distance as they strategically direct their companions.

Druid is a staple class, so it wasn’t surprising that we would see it again in Diablo 4. This class uses nature to destroy evil, and it works with many different builds. However, if you enjoy tankiness, and sustainability while having solid CC and damage, the Earth build is the one you should try first.
