How To Get Glyphs
There is only one good way to obtain your glyphs in Diablo 4, and that is by completing Nightmare Dungeons as they drop from chests, elites, and of course, the last boss.
In order to access Nightmare Dungeons, you are required to be in world tier three, which requires the completion of the campaign and finishing the capstone dungeon in Kyovashad. To change the world tier, use the statue in Kyovashad’s main square.
Another thing that you will have to do is find the Nightmare Sigil, and the best chance of you getting one is by finishing Whispers of the Dead for a loot cache for Tree of Whispers. Once you get a Nightmare Sigil, use it to activate the dungeon. While grinding glyphs and Nightmare Dungeons take quite a bit of time, you at least do not have to be concerned about grinding Nightmare Sigils as they drop in the dungeons as well (you can also craft them in Kyovashad).

How To Use Your Glyphs
After acquiring a glyph, you should slot it into the Paragon board. You then have to unlock a way to your first glyph socket by gaining nodes as you level your Paragon levels (aka. gain Paragon points).
You should know that each glyph has a bonus and a radius or even a set bonuses that they apply based on their rarity. As you play and level, your Diablo 4 class will unlock more class-specialized glyphs and more glyphs sockets that are added to your Paragon board. In essence, you want to place a glyph where its bonuses can add up the most depending on the nodes within its radius.

How To Upgrade Glyphs
Once you finally manage to get a glyph that you like and that it makes your character stronger, you can upgrade/level it by, you guessed it, completing even more Nightmare Dungeons. After you slay the last boss or finish an objective, an Awakened Glyphstone will appear. You can use this to put the XP you earned into that glyph you like.
The more you level the glyph, the stronger it gets based on the nodes in its radius. Keep in mind that after you deposit XP into a glyph, you are not getting it back, so you should do research on which glyph is the best for you and your playstyle before you commit to upgrading.
