How to Get a Horse in Diablo 4 – Finding All The Horses in the Game

Diablo 4 is an open world action RPG where you’re expected to travel a lot while doing your daily activities. Walking just wouldn’t cut it, so Blizzard introduced a new mount system to help players explore the world at a more brisk pace.

All the mounts in Diablo 4 are horses, and you can obtain them in various different ways. In this article we’ll tackle the topic of Diablo 4 how to get horse, and show you where you can get all the horses to add to your mount collection.

Where to Get Your Horse Mount

Diablo 4 mounts can either be purchased from an NPC vendor, bought through the in-game shop, or looted from various monsters around the world.

Horses You Can Purchase

Here are the horses you can obtain from quests and Stable Masters:

  • Old Nell Steed – The easiest way to get your first horse is by completing a quest, where you’re rewarded with the Old Nell Steed.
  • Stable Master – Stable Master sells two horses, the Grey Steed horse and Mottled Steed horse. Each horse costs 20.000 gold.
  • Fields of Hatred – If you’re into PvP in Diablo 4, you can purchase a Bloody horse at the vendor in Fields of Hatred. It will cost you 100.000 Red Dust, so prepare for a long grind.

Random Drop Horses

There are plenty of horses you can get from random drops out in the world. This is based completely on luck, and you can get these from random monsters, chests or events.

Echo of Lilith Horse

After successfully defeating the echo of Lilith, players are rewarded with the Bloody Liquid horse. This fight requires a high level character, so don’t expect to get it early.

Spectral Charger Horse

The Spectral Charger horse is somewhat rare, but can be farmed if you’re willing to invest the time. It is only available during the “Gathering Legions” event and drops from chests you receive after completing the event. You may get it on your first try, or you may farm it for months and not see one. It’s completely random.

Cash Shop Horses

While there are plenty of horses you can obtain for free, it’s worth noting that the best ones come from the Diablo 4 cash shop. These can only be obtained by spending Platinum, which is the premium currency purchased with real money.

  • Triune Charger Horse – 1500 Platinum
  • Ingot Horse – 1600 Platinum
  • Endurance Horse – 1600 Platinum
  • Liath Icehowl Horse – 800 Platinum

Twitch Drops & Limited Editions

  • Temptation Horse – this horse is available from the Deluxe Edition and the Ultimate Edition of Diablo 4.
  • Primal Instinct Horse – part of a Twitch promotional event, this mount is fairly limited.
  • Light-Bearer Horse – this horse is no longer available as it was part of the pre-order bonus.

Collect All The Horses

As you can see, Diablo 4 has a large selection of horse mounts for players to choose from. You will most likely get some of these randomly as you level and play the game, others you’ll have to purchase with gold or Platinum.
