Diablo 4 Map – So Big That People Think It’s An MMORPG
Diablo 4 is finally out, bringing us all of the glorious content that we are all excited about, among which is the huge Diablo 4 map and everything in it. In the previous installments of the game, everything was quite linear, and there was not a lot of room for exploration, but for the first time in the series, there is an open world ready to be explored.
So How Big Is The Diablo 4 Map?
Well, unfortunately, its hard to calculate just how big the world is beside the information that it is by far the biggest map available in the Diablo series to date. However, since the community is quite passionate about the game, there are already speculations on how big the Diablo 4 map size really is.
Since the beta only offered access to the Fractured Peaks, it is the best place to start doing some measurements, and players have figured out that the total surface of this area is about 10 km², which is about eight to ten times bigger than any zone from the previous Diablo games.

So, how big is Diablo 4 map, then? When this information compares Fractured Peaks to the rest of the open world that Diablo 4 has to offer, it is speculated that the world is about 60 km², which is quite huge, and it will definitely take plenty of time to explore. Naturally, there is also a possibility for this huge world to expand even further, as it is only the eastern part of the Sanctuary and a third of the world’s known land. We really hope Diablo 4 seasons surprise us with some amazing new zones.

What Are The Five Zones On The Diablo 4 World Map?
The world of Diablo 4 has five different zones, and while only the first one was available for exploration during the beta, there is some information about the remaining ones, even if the details are quite lacking compared to the first one.
Fractured Peaks
So far, this is the only zone where we can tell you more about the Diablo 4 map locations and other interesting information. Fractured Peaks is a rocky mountain zone where you will run into a lot of snow and of course, demons. The area is filled with some beautiful landscapes that really show off how impressive the Diablo 4 graphics are, especially in the cut scenes that are within the zone.
The zone has quite a lot of points of interest, as it has 7 Waypoints, 35 Sidequests, 23 Side Dungeons, 28 Altars of Lilith, and 3 Strongholds. Overall, there are 77 different areas to discover within Fractured Peaks during the main storyline, as well as during your time of exploring the open world.
Dry Steppes
From the official description, we can speculate that this zone is something similar to savannas, as “lives are worth less than water.” You will find yourself facing barbarians and mercenaries as well as blood mages who will do anything to survive in these dry lands.
Hawezar
The zone that we are definitely the most excited about is Hawezar. According to the description, this is a land full of illusions and mysteries, as there is a lot of black magic involved. You will face off against assassins, thieves, and dark traders that are picking off the weak ones while successfully avoiding the forces of the law.
Kehjistan
From the description, we can easily tell that this is a desert, as “demons are lurking in the sands.” Exploring the deserts in Blizzard’s games is always fun, and we hope that this one does not disappoint.
Scosglen
Of course, it would not be a Diablo game if there were no woods involved, and when it comes to Scosglen, according to its description, it is as foresty as it gets. Here, you will face off against druids who protect their land, as well as, of course, demons.
Check Out The Online Interactive Maps Once You Master The In-Game One
Because the world is so huge, it is quite strange that the in-game map is not as interactive as players were hoping it to be. Luckily, since the Diablo 4 community is incredibly passionate, you can find numerous interactive maps online that will help you learn more about the world, not only from the gameplay perspective of finding dungeons, local events, and Diablo 4 world boss fights but also about other useful points of interest and knowledge that will help you learn about the lore.
