How to Unlock Mythic Weapons in COD Mobile

Unfortunately, if you’re trying to work out how to get Mythic weapons in COD Mobile, you’ll need to part ways with a bit of real-world cash. As COD Mobile is a free-to-play game – and one of the best Call of Duty games out there – there are of course microtransactions that fuel the value and development of the platform. This is one of the most reliable ways to get Mythic weapons in COD Mobile, but it is based entirely on luck.

Once every so often, Mythic Drop Crates will be released in the COD Mobile store. These crates will contain a series of items, most importantly of which will be a Mythic weapon skin – but the chances of landing that skin in a drop are extremely low. When you open one of these crates, you’ll be rewarded with skins, emotes, trinkets, and so on – and if you’re lucky enough, you’ll get the Mythic weapon skin.

Here’s how it all works:

1. You’ll need to open successive Mythic Drop Crates to try and obtain the skin, but each successive roll costs more COD Points (CP).
2. As you open more crates, more items are removed from the ‘pool’, increasing your chances of landing the Mythic skin.
3. There are ten rolls in total for each Mythic Drop Crate, but you’re guaranteed to receive the skin by the tenth roll, as nothing else would be left.
4. To roll ten times, you’ll need to spend around 5000 CP – which is about $50.

Fortunately, as it’s luck-based, there is a chance of landing the Mythic skin in the very first roll – but you’ll need exceptional circumstances for that to happen.

Are Mythic Weapons More Powerful in COD Mobile?

So, that’s how to get Mythic weapons in COD Mobile, but what happens now that you have one? Does owning a Mythic mean anything important in COD Mobile?

Basically, there’s a split – Mythic, Legendary, and regular weapons. There are no differences between the base stats on each weapon variant – you’ll simply pick up a cosmetic upgrade when you level up the weapon and unlock a Mythic or Legendary version of it. However, there are some caveats to that fact. For instance, some weapons will have different iron sights based on the skin, and some of these iron sights may just look a little nicer than the default sights.

So, while there are no inherent differences in how the weapons work, there can be a slight advantage obtained by unlocking one.
