cadiaN at BLAST Premier Fall Finals: “This tournament is way more important to Heroic than Worlds”
After going 1-1 in the group stage of the BLAST Premier Fall Finals, cadiaN and the rest of Heroic have landed themselves in the playoffs. They made a monumental comeback in game one against Astralis and kept that momentum going for the rest of the game.
We got the chance to briefly chat with cadiaN after the win about the games, CS2 and how it feels to play at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen.

Congratulations on winning the game just then! It was looking a little rough at the start of game 1 so what turned it around for you?
I think they played really well in the beginning on the T side. They were good at drawing out the pace and playing slowly but still had enough good utility for the nade round. And then I think, actually, that we did the right things and had some good reads but they just had some really good rounds as well, with their 1 and 4 and stuff like that where they played well.
I think we had a good feeling of where they were on the map but maybe didn’t take that last step correctly. So that was it but we kept fighting and I think that kind of spirit that it takes to fight back from 8-0, especially in the new format, I’m really proud of the boys for that.
It’s a fantastic achievement for sure! Speaking of the new format, how are you finding it playing on CS2 as opposed to CS:GO?
Yeah, it’s a bit different, you know. I think there’s a smaller margin for errors and the pistol round has a bigger impact. Maybe there needs to be some tweaks to the economy in the game.
I think as a viewer, sometimes it’s nice but as a competitor, some wins are a little more random. Like if you also take the last game, the second map Overpass, maybe we would have lost to Astralis because it would have been 12-12 and they were on the CT side with that momentum.
