FaZe and Vitality Remain CS2’s Best At BLAST Fall Final 2023
You’ve got to feel a little bit sorry for Cloud9 and Complexity at the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023. These two teams gave it everything on the server, with performances worthy of a Grand Final spot in the Royal Arena. Yet they faced FaZe and Vitality, two Counter-Strike 2 titans, and came up second-best.
So, what makes these two teams so good right now? Let’s take a look.
Passion at Vitality

When talking about Vitality, one word comes to mind – passion. They play with their hearts on their sleeves, leaving everything on the server with no regrets. Victory matters no less to apEX than it did a decade ago, and it rubs off on his younger teammates.
Not the easiest but I’m so happy to make it to the final on our first lan together. What a game.

Vitality’s big task of late was replacing Magisk. British rifler mezii was seen as up to the task, and while it hasn’t been seamless, it’s been enough. Cloud9 showed a ton of resilience in the BLAST Fall Final 2023 Semi-Final, but that couldn’t take them over the line against the passion and unity of Vitality.
Despite losing all of Magisk, zonic, and dupreeh over the last six months, it’s so impressive that Vitality have remained one of the best CS2 teams in the world. If they can stop FaZe’s incredible unbeaten run, they’ll lift more silverware and stake their claim to be very top of that list going forward.
FaZe Extend Their Unbeaten Run

Leave a little glory for everyone else, FaZe. After beating Complexity 2:1 in the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023 Semi-Final, they have extended their unbeaten run to 18 games. It’s a level of consistency we haven’t seen from any Counter-Strike team in a long time, much less one getting to grips with a new game.
Twistzz and FaZe Clan continues their 18 game win streak!
Another grand final secured, this time at #BLASTPremier Fall Finals!
Could very well be the last time ever we see Twistzz in a FaZe jersey and what a way to do it!

How do you even beat FaZe in CS2? The answer right now is simple – you don’t. This team is ready to win their fourth tournament in a row, after IEM Sydney 2023, Thunderpick World Championship 2023, and CS Asia Championships 2023. Every player is firing on all cylinders. When one falters for a map or two, another picks up the slack. It’s CS perfection, and Complexity were their unfortunate victims here.
With just Vitality standing in FaZe’s way, karrigan looks set to pick up his first-ever trophy on home turf in the Royal Arena. If this is the last time we ever see Twistzz play for FaZe, he’ll want to go out with a bang.
