NAVI, FaZe, and G2 set up bloodbath at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024
It’s been another day of chaos at the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 Elimination Stage. Now, after another day of action on the server, we’re left in a situation where some of the biggest teams in tournament might still miss the Playoffs. Tomorrow could be a real bloodbath in Denmark – let’s talk about it.

After winning the first map against Cloud9, NAVI looked set to secure their place in the Playoffs of the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024. It was all downhill from there, as they managed to take just eight rounds in total across the next two maps in a reverse-sweep series. Frankly, it was a tough watch, with too many from NAVI simply failing to hit their shots at necessary moments.
The defeat sets up a 2:2 bracket match against paiN. On paper, you’d still fancy NAVI to progress, but as this Major has already proven – nothing is guaranteed.

There’s no way that FaZe expected to find themselves in the 1:2 bracket in Copenhagen’s Elimination Stage, but they managed to battle through a tough series against Imperial to fight another day. They won’t find too much praise – this was a match they should always have won, and even still, they dropped a map. Either way, they survived the pressure of potential early elimination, with broky playing a particular star role throughout.
Now, they’ve got one last test before the Playoffs. Complexity. After going 2:0 on the first day, Complexity now find themselves in the last-chance saloon to progress to the next stage of the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024. No matter which way this clash goes, we’re guaranteed to lose a great team from the Major, and we think that’s a massive shame.
G2 overcome ECSTATIC scare

G2 might never admit it, but they were uncomfortably close to losing to ECSTATIC here. Several swing rounds and moments of individual brilliance saved them from embarrassment, although it remains enough to keep them in the hunt for the Major trophy this time around.
With Virtus.pro up next for G2, absolutely nothing is guaranteed. Jame remains one of the most frustrating players in the world to face, so the Kovač cousins need to step up and find their form. They’ll be the key to success in this tie, and right now, the duo is barely bragging above HooXi.

Elsewhere, progression and elimination matches secured the fate of several other teams at the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024. Vitality managed to take down Complexity, ensuring the previous Major winners are in with a shot of retaining their title. Eternal Fire showed exactly why they’re the pride of Turkey, outclassing Virtus.pro in a close series to qualify for the Playoffs.
Before coming to Copenhagen, we knew what we are capable of. No word can describe how I feel right now. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to each one of you who believed in us through this amazing journey. It's a great honour to see Turkish Counter-Strike in this level and…

Meanwhile, it was heartbreak for Heroic, who looked clueless as paiN charged to a 2:0 sweep. There’s still a ton of potential to build on from this roster, but losing to paiN in such a manner has to be seen as a massive missed opportunity here.
