A bracket of 32 teams has now been whittled down to just two, with the EU Qualifiers for the Thunderpick WC 2024 set to conclude tomorrow. In the Semi-Finals, Cloud9 were matched up against BetBoom, while Zero Tenacity faced a Young Ninjas roster full of momentum for a spot in the Grand Final. Here’s how events unfolded on the server!

Cloud9 were left without AWPer ICY for the first map vs. BetBoom, with young talent moON filling in on short notice. It was a lost map, but with ICY playing from an internet cafe for the rest of the series, Cloud9 were able to rescue the final two maps in an impressive reverse-sweep.
While ICY certainly made a huge impact coming back into the side, it was also a strong day at the office for Boombl4 and Ax1Le, who were consistent performers throughout this series. We’ve had Cloud9 pegged as favorites ever since the start of the Thunderpick WC 2024 EU Qualifiers, and they now sit just one match away from fulfilling that prediction.
On the other side of the bracket, Zero Tenacity were able to deliver a swift 2:0 to a Young Ninjas roster that was gaining a lot of momentum during the Thunderpick WC 2024 EU Qualifiers. Although it’s unfortunate that Young Ninjas couldn’t go all the way, they can be proud of their performance throughout this tournament. Any experience at a higher level is good for any player wanting to progress onto the main roster of a big organization.
Young Ninjas’ struggles here were underlined by a tough day at the office for xKacpersky, the young star who often tops the leaderboard for this roster. Over on Zero Tenacity, IGL nEMANHA led the way with a 44-27 series, meaning the players around him didn’t need to be at their best to secure the win here.
