paiN and Fluxo stay alive in Thunderpick WC 2024 SA Qualifiers

The second set of South American qualifiers are now live for the Thunderpick World Championship 2024, giving 16 teams the chance to qualify the massive event in October of this year. Last time out in the South American region, it was Imperial who secured their place in the Thunderpick WC 2024.
In the round of 16 so far, we’ve seen favorites paiN and Fluxo survive to the next stage. Here’s how it went down.

First up, we saw some Brazil-on-Brazil action, as paiN took on W7M. This went about as well as you might expect for the latter. Throughout, paiN were in total control, and they only dropped 11 rounds across the two maps to make a quick showing in the Thunderpick WC 2024 SA qualifier round of 16.
For paiN, it was the youth who came in clutch against W7M. With nqz posting 36 kills across the series and snow 35, it was always going to be tough for W7M to have any chance at a win here. We’re particularly excited about snow, who looks to be one of the best Brazilian talents in a very long time. Keep your eyes peeled on him throughout the Thunderpick WC 2024 SA qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Fluxo managed to survive a slight scare against Galorys to make their way to the Quarter-Finals of the SA qualifiers. While Fluxo’s two won maps were extremely one-sided, they will have been slightly sweating as they dropped the second in a convincing 13:3 win for Galorys. Luckily, arT and his team had it in their locker to bounce back on the Ancient decider.
In this particular series, it was actually arT that Fluxo have to thank for their survival. He top-fragged across the series, just pipping Lucaozy to the top spot. Fluxo’s opponent in the next round of the Thunderpick World Championship 2024 SA qualifiers will be decided tomorrow, and they’ll be hoping arT shows up in this kind of form all over again.
All the results of the round of 16 in the Thunderpick WC 2024 SA Qualifiers so far are as follows:
- paiN 2:0 W7M
- Bounty Hunters 2:0 Solid
- Fluxo 2:1 Galorys
- Case 2:0 ODDIK
- BESTIA 2:0 Vikings KR
- KRÜ 2:0 inSanitY
The remaining two fixtures are Sharks vs. Hype, and RED Canids vs. Intense. Who will keep themselves in with a chance of qualifying for October’s $100,000 LAN? Stay tuned.
