Europe Upper Division – Alliance vs Nigma. (Jan 20)
On the second day, Alliance versus Nigma will be the talk of the town. Alliance has had a pretty rough run, heading into winter last year, when they initially looked unstoppable. While fans still pondered upon what changed in Alliance for them to perform so poorly, Nigma too hasn’t had the best run. And to believe that this was the team that played in the International 2019 grand finals.
Regardless, Nigma are the favorites in this match-up, with their iconic carry star, Amer “Miracle-“ Al-Barkawi bringing in the media’s attention.
Predicted winner: Team Nigma
SEA Upper Division – 496 Gaming vs Vice Esports (Jan 21)
The Vietnamese powerhouse (496) shouldn’t have much trouble with Vice Esports in the SEA Upper Division opener. We actually expect a relatively quick 2-0 from against the Philippine squad. 496 Gaming has had a good season overall last year, even winning last summer’s Omega League Asia Division with relative ease. This match should provide a good testing ground for the team who are set to meet Neon Esports on Saturday.
Vice are expected to at best win a few games potentially against Execration and Fnatic but lose all best of three series in their DPC Season 1 run.
Predicted winner: 496 Gaming
South America Upper Division – Omega Gaming vs SG esports (Jan 21)
Omega Gaming had their roster acquired by NoPing Esports on the 16th of January, and are seeking to claim their first victory under their new banner. They face a relatively easy opponent in SG esports, who are considered the weakest team in the South American DPC circuit.
We can be surprised by a tied series though, so with tipsters are advised to bet this matchup for the winner and not in correct score.
Predicted winner: Omega Gaming (NoPing)
