Four match betting opportunities at DPC 2021 Lower Divisions this week

The Dota Pro Circuit 2021 (DPC 2021) has been a thrill to watch across all regions. The DPC 2021 Lower Division is not as grand and only has prize pool winnings on the line. Yet, the lack of attention on the Lower Division games has made us miss out on some profitable Dota 2 bets.

There are still passionate players here, trying to make a name for themselves, and this week we are selecting four matches that should be a part of your betting repertoire. Here’s our Dota 2 Lower Division mixed betslip and reasoning behind it.

Vikin.gg vs Gfrogs

Vikin.gg, the team that fell from grace. Last season, Vikin.gg was an Upper Division candidate but didn’t perform their best. Placing seventh place, Vikin.gg was relegated into the Lower Division as per DPC rules. This becomes an issue since Vikin.gg is undoubtedly a team that rivals even the European powerhouses, such as OG and Team Secret.

As such, they stomped the amateurs at the DreamLeague Season 15 Lower Division. Vikin.gg is still on a winning spree, and with two matches remaining, they could very much bag these wins too. Their next match on May 12 at 21:00 CEST is against Ghost Frogs.

Of course, the odds are stacked against Ghost frogs to win at x4.75 while Vikin.gg at x1.17. The bet opportunity here is to go all in on Vikin.gg winning 2:0. They are just too good to be in this league, period.

Team SMG vs South Built Esports

Over at the DPC SEA S2 Lower Division, team SMG is one stack of reputable players you don’t want to miss out on. Featuring the recent additions, Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng and Damien “kpii” Chok, team SMG has managed to climb the scoreboard from open qualifiers.

It’s too early for us to call any shots for the entire league, as the rest of their competition is creeping close behind in scores. On May 13 at 3 PM (UTC+8), team SMG will face off against South Built Esports, formerly called Vice Esports. The Filipino team looked like a train wreck as they finished last place at DPC SEA S1 Upper Division. Presently, SBE isn’t the worst team in the group, but they are holding up.

Against team SMG’s class of prodigies, the Dota 2 odds are definitely not in their favor to win. Team SMG has an x1.19 versus SBE at a whopping x4.45 return. Once again a 2:0 for SMG is advisable here similar to our previous bet.

B8 vs Nemiga

B8, Danil “Dendi” Ishutin’s brainchild is still grinding the scene at the CIS Lower Divsion. While unfortunate B8 hasn’t had a success story since it debuted, they are still fan favorites and the main audience draw at the CIS league. Last season, they finished last place in the Lower Division and had yet another roster shuffle. At this point, there’s one too many roster shuffle to keep track of.

Nonetheless, say what you might, but B8 is actually holding up better than its usual standards. They have a crucial match against Nemiga on May 14, 6 PM (UTC+8). The outcome may potentially affect their shot at having a tiebreaker and a shot at 2nd place in the entire league.

As far as Dota 2 odds go, both teams are pretty even, where B8 has x2.07 against Nemiga at x1.72 odds. It is advisable to go for a total amount of maps played prediction, as we are likely looking for a 3-gamescenario.

Team MagMa vs LBZS

Later next week, on May 17 at 12 AM (UTC+8), we have a final showdown between two former Upper Division rivals. Team MagMa and LBZS were underdogs in DPC Season 1 China Upper Division, where they inevitably fell out of the competition.

Nevertheless, they are still very seasoned teams and do not shy away from delivering their best performance. Most notably, LBZS is holding top seeds at DPC Season 2 China Lower Division, while Team MagMa isn’t too far away from its rival. Hence, if Team MagMa manages to overwhelm LBZS next week, we are in for a tiebreaker for top spot.

As anticipated, both teams are tied in terms of Dota 2 odds on GG.BET, its a tossup between the two with Team MagMa at x1.81 return, and LBZS at x1.95. Going for a 2:0 Correct Map Score on Team MagMa could possibly rake x3.23 returns.

We have noticed a pattern with Team MagMa that never seems to force a full series, even if they are on the losing end of it. This points towards a clear 2:0 either way, and we are sticking to favorites for our selection, but you may go the other direction as well
