On the 7th of August, six teams are going to battle it out in order to qualify for the next stage of ESL Pro League Season 16. In this piece, we will present you with a breakdown of teams that are competing in this group and you will also find our predictions for the opening matches so do not miss out.

Group B Breakdown

Before we start talking about the favorites, let’s talk about how groups are played. First and foremost, out of six teams, three are eliminated and three will go through to the playoffs. All teams are playing against each other once in a best of three series. Teams participating in ESL Pro League Season 16 group B are as follows:

Keep in mind that the battle for the #1 spot is going to be very tense and there is a reason for that. Team that seals the number one spot in the group stage will automatically qualify for the Quarterfinals while the #2 and #3 ranked teams will start their playoff journey in the round of 12.

ESL Pro League Group B Openers Predictions

G2 vs MIBR

With their latest roster changes, G2 are picking up the pace and they are not looking that bad anymore. With a new in-game leader, this team will look to bounce back to winning ways against the Brazilian CSGO esports roster, MIBR.

In their last four, MIBR did not suffer a single defeat. But, you need to understand that the level of competition they played against is nowhere near G2. NiKo and his squad got two victories in the last three played.

With the way they played in the last couple of matches, we are high on G2 for this match. They are coming here to compete and they for sure want to seal that #1 spot in their group. Given the fact that the odds on G2 to win are not that high, we are going for a correct score bet as it has a high chance of landing.

FaZe vs FTW Esports

This match is nothing else but a booster for your accumulators. FaZe is coming to this match as the second-best CSGO team in the world. They are going to face off against a team that played most of their matches in the Portugal region.

There is not that much to talk about in regards to this prediction. Every FaZe player is miles ahead of FTW, individually and strategy-wise. All in all, this should be a very easy match for FaZe.

Outsiders vs BIG

For the last opener of Group B, we almost have a coin flip between BIG and Outsiders. First and foremost, BIG is coming to this match with one victory in the last seven matches played and that is a bad sign already. Contrary to that, Outsiders are sitting on two victories in the last four played.

Bear in mind that not so long ago, these two teams played against each other and Outsiders came out on top easily. We believe that they have what it takes to win this match again, especially because BIG are in a serious slump right now. At almost even odds, this is definitely a value bet.
