EVO Japan 2025 has broken records for sign-ups! Since the release of street Fighter 6, it seems some of games break these records most years. Since EVO Japan is so big, it’s particularly impressive to see sign-up numbers get even higher year on year. Overall, the total number of players has increased quite a lot from last year. Now at 8,665 players.
Its Street Fighter 6 which saw a major increase though. With an extra 1.5 thousand players signed up. Other titles like Tekken 8 and Guilty Gear all saw a minor decrease year on year.
It seems the biggest fighting game right now is still the one driving an increased focus on the genre. Street Fighter 6 has gone a long way to make EVO Japan 2025 the biggest yet.
Not all games at EVO Japan have broken records for sign-ups, but each will have an interesting bracket to see completed. There are the games you’d expect at the tournament, like SF 6, Tekken, and Guilty Gear. However, there’s some more interesting ones here too. Including some niche picks for the tournaments.
