Sparg0 Wins Let’s Make Moves Miami 2023

The Ultimate side of the competition at Let’s Make Moves Miami was the main event, with most of the best players showing up to take part. In a stacked roster, we had quite a few bigger surprises in the results. For a start, MKLeo filed to make the top 8, getting knocked out in the fifth round of the first loser’s bracket. Sparg0 came into the final bracket from the winner’s side, facing Sonix.

While Sparg0 is definitely one of the stronger players in Smash for 2023, Sonix has some impressive achievements himself. He’s taken Sonic from a lower Smash tier list character to one that ranks well at quite a few Majors. In their first match-up, Sonix clutched the win beating Sparg0 3-1.

This wasn’t the end of the line for Sparg0 though. He faced Dabuz, the victor from the Loser’s side and easily passed through at 3-0. That set the stage for a rematch between Sonix and Sparg0. The final match kicked off Sparg0 taking an earlier lead, winning the first match 3-2. This forced a bracket reset and gave Sparg0 a shot at finishing off the tournament as the winner. The player managed to once again just get to victory, winning 3-2 and becoming the champion for Let’s Make Moves Miami 2023.

Sperg0’s recent victory at Let’s Make Moves Miami puts him back at the top of the game. He’s had some strong results this year, and might even be taking the crown of number 1 Smash Ultimate player when we next revisit the rankings.
