Ninjas in Pyjamas Sign K-Wiss for Tekken 8

Another org has made a major signing in the world of fighting game esports. A new Tekken player is going to join the Ninjas in Pyjamas fighting roster. K-Wiss has announced he’s stepping up to the team and competing in Tekken 8 for Ninjas in Pyjamas.

In recent months, we’ve seen new releases lead to an increased interest in competitive fighting games. Tournaments have bigger prize pools, and more viewers, everything has been boosted up. That’s led to more players stepping in with orgs over the last few years. Most recently, it’s been K-Wiss signing with Ninjas in Pyjamas. What does this move mean for the team’s competitive hopes?

Ninjas in Pyjamas Sign K-Wiss

K-Wiss is a fighting game player from Britain who has been competing primarily in Tekken titles since 2018. In that time, he’s spent some time with a few different orgs like East London Fighters and Noble. He’s been a free agent since February of 2022 though. That’s changed this week, with Ninjas in Pyjamas announcing that they’ve signed the player.

K-Wiss has had some strong results in Tekken lately. He placed at DreamHack Dallas 2024, finishing up in the 49-64th position. However, before this, he managed third at Paradise Game Break 2023, plus strong results at Double K.O tournaments.

Prior to the Tekken 8 release, we saw K-Wiss compete in Tekken 7. Here he had even better results getting to 9-12 at the Tekken World Tour Finals in 2022. The player has had some really promising finishes across the last two Tekken games, he’ll make a strong addition to the Ninjas in Pyjamas team.

Ninjas in Pyjamas have a few players now active on their fighting game team. Most were signed back in April, Phenom, Veggey, and Bilal. K-Wiss will be their first addition for Tekken 8 though. This means the team will be active in both titles, entering players in the biggest fighting game events.
