Fresh off the initial announcement, a Brawlhalla SpongeBob Update is now live in the game! This new crossover is a full event. There is plenty of different content to playthrough and tons of new things going on. A good lot of it is focused on items you can buy with Mammoth coins. Now that Brawlhalla is adding custom moves for some characters’ skins though, the Spongebob items give you a bit more value. This is what’s new

Brawlhalla SpongeBob Update

The Brawlhalla SpongeBob update is bringing in quite a few new characters and cosmetics for the under the sea franchise. These are the new skins you’ll see in the game.

SpongeBob (Rayman skin)
Patrick (Teros skin)
Cassidy (Sandy Skin)

These skins are all in the game’s store. SpongeBob will cost a bit more than most of the characters in Brawlhalla though. That’s because he’s a new Mythic skin. These are a brand-new tier of skin which has altered attacks. It’s halfway between a full crossover character and a skin.

Along with the skins, there’s a new KO Effect, and the Flying Dutchman sidekick. All of these items are in the store when you want to jump in. As most are cosmetics, they’re not essential for playing the game. It’s a bit of fun to get involved with the latest crossover though.

Brawlhalla Crossover Detailed in Dev Stream

Brawlhalla is one of the biggest fighters to feature crossovers, regularly bringing in outside characters. Their latest addition is giving recent release NASB 2 a run for its money, bringing in SpongeBob Brawlhalla characters. This latest crossover events will arrive with the underwater cartoon’s three most iconic characters. A recent dev stream has covered just what we’re going to see from the SpongeBob Brawlhalla crossover, including a step up for Brawlhalla crossovers overall.

The new dev stream has detailed quite a few new items coming in the crossover. For a start, there’s a brand-new map. No prizes for guessing what’s been chosen to represent SpongeBob in the game though, it’s Bikini Bottom. We’re getting a map that shows off quite a few of the iconic locales from the show. It also renders the world in the recognisable style of SpongeBob SquarePants which is a nice contrast to the rest of Brawlhalla.

Brawlhalla will be getting three new skins, SpongeBob, Patrick Star, and Sandy the Squirrel. These three characters will each be on the new Crossover tier. This means they’ll be skins that feature even more changes, with new animations and even a new light attack. This tier seems to be halfway between having one of the best Brawlhalla Legends and a skin, a nice step up for the crossover..
