The next fighter for Street Fighter 6 has been announced, Elena. This will be the final character coming from Season 2, wrapping up the current batch of content for the game. Given the title’s popularity, we’re sure there’s more planned for the game. However, this new fighter will be an exciting addition. What do we know about them so far?
Since there initial reveal, we’ve gotten a bit more information as time has passed. Including that the character will be part of the SF 6 Switch release. However, it’ll be arriving on all the normal platforms at the same time too. The new DLC character is still over a month away. We do know some initial details about what’s in-store though. The next release for Street Fighter 6 is going to be Elena. So far, we’ve had a mix of new and old characters. Elena is a classic pick. They first came in for Street Fighter III New Generation. They’ve appeared outside of that though, with games like Ultra SF IV, and more. Their appearance in SF 6 will be their first in quite a while though.
This week, we’ve gotten the first teaser trailer for Elena. As is typical of thee trailers, there’s not a ton about how they’ll play. These teasers inexplicably use World Tour content at first. It definitely sets the tone for the new character though. Now we have an idea of what’s coming. As we get closer to release, we’ll see more about how they’ll actually play.

When exactly will the Elena Street Fighter 6 DLC release? We know the game is getting the new character on May 2nd. As the final character in the Season 2 DLC, it’ll be a fun inclusion. We’re pretty likely to get a third DLC season though. There’s still tons of SF players, it’s one of the most popular fighting games so further support seems very likely.
