What Characters are in the Street Fighter 6 Season 2 Leaks?

The first year of Street Fighter 6 has been fantastic. It has taken the franchise to new heights, both competitively and for those playing at home. What’s next though? While we have some ideas, Street Fighter 6 Season 2 leaks can illuminate a lot more. What characters are coming, what content is due in Season 2, overall, what’s the future for this franchise?

Across fighting game esports, the last year has seen events get record views and sign-ups pretty much across the board. A lot of this is down to the pull of Street Fighter 6. The first year of support for the game has seen quite a few interesting characters get added. The next year has the potential to completely change the meta of the game though. So what do we know about what’s coming in Season 6 of SF 6?

Street Fighter 6 Season 2 Leaks

Looking ahead at upcoming characters, we’ve already had quite a bit of back and forth. Players have seen a few different leaks come and again, some have been completely debunked. Leaks are always taken with a grain of salt though. Looking at those that are still credible, who are the leaked characters for Season 2?

Makoto – Heavily rumored, but might be more wishful thinking than leaks.
Dudley is another predictable pick
Newcomer – Almost definitely there will be at least one newcomer
Bison – A still missing iconic character

Those are the main names getting thrown around right now. There was a leak back in March that claimed Mika, Bison, Sakura, and Elena. However, this has essentially been debunked. The leaker was revealed to be impersonating a known fighting game leaker. Those are some of the most likely next Street Fighter 6 characters though and the names you see most often in leaks.

How Reliable Are the Leaks?

In any game, leaks can be a bit of a bit of a mixed bag. There are titles like Fortnite that seem to semi-officially leak everything to build hype, then there are others that keep everything locked down. Street Fighter has historically been one of the latter, with leaks being few and far between. Until we see a big new announcement, we don’t know. The most recent Capcom Cup didn’t exactly tease the future either.

Most of the past games haven’t seen major data leaks. Although a big one came halfway through for Street Fighter V. This means there is some precedent for a character or two getting out there ahead of their official release. Looking at the Street Fighter 6 Season 2 leaks, there aren’t any characters we’re sure are coming next season. Any of these could prove to be the right pick once we see the roster confirmed though.
