When Does Street Fighter 6 Come to Nintendo Switch?

The Switch is great platform for a lot of genres, but for fighters it has been feeling its age lately. A lot of the big recent fighting releases haven’t come to the Switch, but one of those will be getting a release on the Swich 2. A Street Fighter 6 Switch version has been announced! A full version of the fighter, featuring the year 1 and 2 content is coming soon to the Switch 2.

This week we’ve seen the announcement of the Switch 2 a new console coming from Nintendo. It looks like a decent upgrade to the original Switch, especially for those who have found the platform lacking in strength lately. The Switch 2 will be getting Street Fighter 6, in a version that looks just as impressive as the one on other platforms. When exactly will it release on the hybrid console?

Street Fighter 6 Coming to Switch

The new Switch will be launching later in the year, along with Street Fighter 6. It’s going to be a new version of the game, which will deliver SF 6 on the handheld platform. This new release is set to run at 60 FPS, which is definitely decent.

It’ll also feature most of the content we’ve seen run up over the game’s lifespan on other platforms so far. SF 6 is one of the best fighting games, maybe the best currently available. A lot of players are in for a treat jumping in for the first time.

The new version of SF 6 is going to release on launch with the Switch 2, which will be on June 5th.

There are also a few exclusive features coming for Street Fighter 6 on Switch. The game will have a new gryo control scheme battle, where players use the motion controls. Working similarly to the dynamic controls on other platforms. It’ll also be available in an edition with all of the currently released DLC so far. So players can get up to date on the SF 6 characters we have on other platforms.

Is the Original Switch Getting it?

The Street Fighter 6 Switch edition is coming very soon, but what about the original Switch? That console isn’t getting the game. The Switch wasn’t included in the initial SF 6 release as it’s a bit underpowered to manage it. The Switch 2’s upgraded hardware will make it possible to come to the platform family, but it still can’t run on the first Switch.
