Takeda Mortal Kombat 1 Release on July 23

The big three fighting game franchises have all seen new releases in the last year, Tekken, SF, and Mortal Kombat. Out of them, MK 1 has maybe lagged behind the most. The game hasn’t been as actively updated and its esports scene hasn’t quite captured the same attention, but its still frequent updates are changing that. Mortal Kombat 1 is proving to be more of a grower, becoming better with each big update. The next of these will be the Takeda Mortal Kombat 1 release.

Most of the best fighting games in 2024 feature more characters coming over time. DLC additions that pad out the roster. So far for Mortal Kombat 1, we’ve already seen characters like Homelander release. Next up will be Takeda. Rather than another crossover character, this is one of the characters from Mortal Kombat’s past. When are they coming to the game?

Takeda Mortal Kombat 1 Release Date

This week we’ve gotten a big update on the future of Mortal Kombat 1, we’re going to see Takeda release in the game. NetherRealm has released a trailer for the character, showing off how they’ll play in the latest fighting game in the series. They’ve also confirmed when we can expect to see them in-game.

The Takeda Mortal Kombat 1 release date will be July 23rd. This will be when they’re available in the game! To actually play them, you’ll need to purchase the character or a Kombat pack though. The Mortal Kombat update that arrives with the character will make other changes too though. The game will see a new balance patch come with a fresh character.

Takeda in Mortal Kombat 1 looks interesting from the trailer so far. The character seems to have a lot in common with his last appearance. Although, there are always a few surprises in new DLC like this.

It’s always good to see a balancing patch brought in for a fighter. The existing roster of characters still needs balancing for the last addition. With major tournaments on the horizon now like EVO, the game should hopefully be in a good place for balance once the event rolls around.
