MultiVersus has loads to offer, from its vast characters to improved netcode. But the return of the game has included some more mysterious aspects. One of these is the Power Inside Badge MultiVersus has. It’s a badge. Seemingly showing off some kind of achievement, so what’s so mysterious?

It appears to be broken. Players have had completely different results from looking at the badge, seemingly with it changing over time. So, what gives? What is the power Inside Badge and what exactly is it tracking? As with anything that’s gotten bugged out, it’s not all entirely clear.

What is the Power Inside Badge in MultiVersus?

What is the Power Inside Badge? It’s an item in-game that is supposed to track progress and let you show off how good of a player you are. Although, that’s not exactly what it’s doing in the live game right now. It’s one of those types of cosmetics in the game to try and reward those who took part in the beta. The problem is, that most players haven’t seen it working as intended. Kind of like getting the MultiVersus Authenticating error, this seems to be a bug.

The MultiVersus Power Inside Badge will theoretically show off your progress during the initial beta. The first release of the game, before its recent comeback, was in 2023. It’s supposed to track how you performed in this period.

There’s a problem with it though. Most players are reporting the whole thing is bugged. Essentially, they think it isn’t actually reflecting their performance in the beta. It seems like the MultiVersus Power Inside badge is actually tied to gold earned with a single character, not the entire game.

This is almost definitely a bug, so we can expect it to be fixed in future MultiVersus updates. At the moment, the Power Inside badge doesn’t really show your progress. Keep an eye out for a patch in fighting game news though because it should be fixed soon. Then, you’ll be able to showcase just how many wins you racked up during the initial opening of MultiVersus.

What Does the Power Inside Badge Track?

We’re not 100% certain of the exact thing The Power Inside badge in MultiVersus tracks! This is because It appears to be broken, with different players reporting different results. However, we’ll likely find out once it’s fixed back up! The prevailing theory seems to be that the badge is tracking gold during the beta but accidentally limiting it to a character that players might not have used. Hopefully, when it’s back up and running there’s a clearer explanation too.

Cosmetics like these are great for letting players who have stuck with a game show it off. Once it’s back, you can demonstrate how much you grinded each of the characters during its initial release.
