Where do all the characters stand in a tier list? Skullgirls has quite a few different fighters but there’s a handful that clearly stand out as the top picks.
Skullgirls has expanded to be full of characters, but they’re not created equal. Quite a few of the characters have much stronger options than others. Fighters that are much better balanced than others, with kit that just excels. Where does each character sit for a tier list in Skullgirls?
Over time we’ve had quite a few DLC fighters added, especially since 2nd encore. The full list of Skullgirls characters is now pretty long. Given how long it takes to really excel at a fighting game character, it makes more sense to focus on a smaller handful of picks. The ones that you can really spend the time to drill down into. The S Tier is where the very top characters are. In a tier list, Skullgirls or any other character has a few picks that really are a lot stronger. These have the best kit. It isn’t that they’re an instant win button. However, in a competitive setting, they have more options. More combos. If you take the time to learn fighting games, these have the most potential.
The next section down in a tier list for Skullgirls is A. This is pretty much always the biggest for the game. This tile has a lot of characters which are pretty good. It’s fairly well-balanced. So, while these are a little down from the S, there isn’t really anything wrong with them.

The B Tier is where we start to get to lesser-powered characters. These aren’t the worst in the world but there are bigger problems with their kit. Maybe if there are more Skullgirls patches in fighting game news, they’ll receive a buff. For now, these characters are a little under par though.

Finally, we have pretty much the bottom of the game. These characters can still work if you really put the time in. They generally are outplayed by high-tier players though. As you get to the top of the Skullgirls Ranked mode, you’ll really run into trouble with these characters.
That’s where everything sits in the tier list for Skulllgirls right now. This game still has quite a few updates and even more characters coming to the game though. It’s worth keeping an eye out to see if things change with future alterations to the game.
