A new Fortnite season is here! Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 brings us back to the Superhero filled world of Marvel, as Doctor Doom has taken over the island. Along with the Battle Pass and maybe the loot pool too. What’s new for this season of Fortnite?
The new season dropped with a bit of a bigger patch size than normal. If you’re concerned about how many GBs is Fortnite, this update was bigger than normal. Is that because it’s totally stuffed with new content? There’s quite a bit of change for our final Chapter 5 Season.

One of the biggest changes with Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is the map alterations. It’s our last major change for this season’s island. We’re getting a handful of new Marvel themed POIs. The first of these is Castel Doom. That’s Doom’s home in a large impressive building. The next is Doomstadt, a normal-ish village from Doom’s home county. It’s similar in vibe to village POIs from Chapter 4.

Our final POI is the Raft, a prison build to hold some of the most powerful Super villains. These POIs are spread through the map with a few of our oldest POIs now being removed like Lavish Lair and Classy Courts.
The new update has quite a few new weapons. These are replacing the Season 3 weapons like the Nitro Fists. There’s some in here we’ve seen before in Fortnite leaks too. These are the new weapons:

Some of these are fun additions and others might be a bit much for Fortnite esports, like the War Machine hover jets. Or his shoulder guns that blast auto-aim missiles everywhere. It’s a lot.

It’s not just new weapons, as has become the norm for Chapter 5 we’ve got a new batch of medallions too. These have varied over the chapter from the most overpowered items available to a nice bonus. There are some creative effects this time around too:
Some of these feel particularly powerful compared to others. It’s nice to get the Siphon back after its inclusion in C5 S2. The reveal medallion might be particularly powerful over the season.

Since the season is focusing on Marvel, there’s some returning content. We’ve had full Fortnite seasons about his in the past and some of those classic items are making a return here! There’s the Doom Gauntlets and Captain’s America’s Shield, plus more general items like the new Striker Burst Rifle.

As with any new season, there’s a brand new Battle Pass. This one is focused on the Marvel Superheroes. Although, a few of the characters are mash ups between superheroes and Fortnite original characters. So even if superheroes aren’t your thing, there’s a few things worth picking up. It’s always good to get another Peely.
