Fortnite Chapter 6 Medallions Guide
One of the more controversial additions of the recent season is coming back for Fortnite Chapter 6, Medallions. The boss loot hasn’t been done away with like Augments but made a return this time. Although, they’re here in a slightly reduced form for C6 S2 compared to the past.
As in past Fortnite seasons, tracking down these medallions is going to be a key part of getting wins in Chapter 6 Season 2. There’s less of them on the map than ever though. These have some of the most powerful uses we’ve seen, but they’re going to be rarer. If you want to track one down every game, these are the new Fortnite Chapter 6 Medallions and how to find them:

New Fortnite Chapter 6 Medallions
At the moment, there are now three Medallions on the map! Up by one from the start of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2. If you’ve noticed fewer of those pesky yellow circles all over the mini-map, it’s because they’re in shorter supply. On top of that, some of them are also quite a bit harder to obtain this season. You won’t be running around all game curb-stomping with your medallion power right now.

The first Fortnite Chapter 6 Medallion is quite useful… at least in Zero builds, but a bit inconvenient. It’s dropped by Shogun X. The mini-boss that’s been around for two seasons. However, this isn’t a normal POI mini-boss in Chapter 6 like those in the last Chapter.
Shogun X doesn’t spawn at a POI at the start of the game like we’re used to. He’s replaced the Rift-In Loot Lake-house POI. Now, a collection of floating islands rift-in, on the largest is Shogun X. The same Samurai as last season, although with a slightly different texture on his face.
Finishing off Shogun X isn’t the hardest, but it’ll be slightly longer than most bosses. The main issue is getting third partied. Coming so far into the game, this is a problem. People can easily get up, and easily wait to finish you off. You’ll likely need to survive a fight again afterward to claim it. All you need to do to defeat him is to strafe to the side. His attacks basically come with 5 seconds of warning and in straight lines.
Once you do get the Super Shield Medallion, you’ll get a shield bubble automatically applied whenever you use healing items. These are only the “self-healing” items. So, shield potions, med kits, the chug jug. Pretty much everything except splashes and med mist grenades.

The second Fortnite Chapter 6 medallion is a bit different. This one is more traditional, it’s with a boss at the start of the game. However, it doesn’t have a defined home.
This Medallion is dropped after you defeat Fletcher Kane. He’s a new Boss character this season. His spawn point is different every game. You’ll need to check the mini map when the game begins to see where he spawned. It’s marked on the map, but he can be party any of the vaults in the current season.
The boss fight isn’t too crazy. Once you reach the fourth stage of the vault, he’ll spawn. Then, you take out his shield. Once down to HP, he transforms. He begins to do a two-stage attack. First, he howls and marks you. Just like players did with the old werewolf item. Then, he attacks with a melee combo. He’s fairly easy to take down since he stands completely still howling for long enough to kill him. Just throw a couple of layers of builds up when he rushes you.
Once dropped, you can pick up the Unstoppable Medallion. It grants you a speed boost. You’ll also deal knockback damage players you sprint into. It’s a helpful effect, especially when stacked with other stamina changing items like the Kneecapper or Exotic Chug Jug.
How to Get the First Blood Medallion

The final Medallion has only just arrived in a later Fortnite update! This is similar to last season, where a third was only added for a few weeks. The First Blood Medallion transforms your first shot into an explosive one. Dealing some extra damage on any weapon.
You get it by defeating Scorpion. He’s a new Boss character, but like Fletcher Kane he moves around. He can be at the Dead Pool, Living Forrest, or the Pit. The new landmarks added in the MK patch. He’ll spawn at one at a time, you can tell which by where his medallion icon is on the map. Ring the gong that’s in the area to start the fight. Take him down, and get the Medallion plus a new Mythic!

Those are the three Fortnite Chapter 6 medallions at the moment! We’ll likely see a third batch brought in for the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 update. It seems these three are the lot for the current Fortnite season.
