The Fortnite Deadpool & Wolverine collaboration that so many gamers have waited for is almost here. Leaks have begun to showcase just what Epic Games has worked up for this epic crossover. With the film nearing a wide release, the skins have been revealed, and the excitement in the community is palpable.
The Fortnite x Deadpool & Wolverine is a unique crossover since it’s a combination of characters that Epic Games has used before and it’s a movie that isn’t exactly kid-friendly. The movie is famously rated R and Deadpool is a bit more of an adult superhero than Spider-Man, Batman, or even the other X-Men.
Here’s where the first look at these two iconic Marvel characters can be seen. Leaker HYPEX has revealed the new designs and their cosmetics. It’s worth noting that these are going to be Item Shop skins in all likelihood. They are coming out closely in tandem with the movie, which releases on July 26. The current season of Fortnite doesn’t end for a couple of weeks after that, so it doesn’t make sense to hold them for Chapter 5 Season 4.

This is also interesting for a few reasons. First, both Deadpool and Wolverine have their own skins already. They were each battle pass exclusives, so they can’t return. Deadpool arrived in Chapter 2 Season 2, and Wolverine was involved in the wholly Marvel Chapter 2 Season 4 battle pass.
Those skins aren’t returning per se. However, it’s the closest Epic Games has come to reintroducing old battle pass skins. They typically bring them back with a new twist, like the Omega Knight skin. In this case, both Deadpool and Wolverine are just their standard selves but with a cel-shaded art style. They differ only in how they are drawn, which feels almost like an alternate style more than a new skin.
Nevertheless, these should be arriving in the Item Shop sooner rather than later. They are leaks, but all signs point to them being available at some point in the very near future with the movie coming out this weekend.
