Fortnite Godzilla Boss Revealed in New Trailer

One of the big releases we’ve been waiting for this season is the Fortnite Godzilla boss arriving. Since the season was announced, we’ve known Godzilla was coming. He’s been pencilled in as this season’s secret skin, or bonus skin. Although, we’re long past the point where this release was any kind of a secret. We’ve known around. Hallway through, Godzilla would release and many expected him to feature as a boss character. But it was just an assumption, with today’s new trailer we now know there is a boss coming!

This week, Epic has put out a trailer showing of a load of the post Winterfest content. We knew the January 14th update was planned to be a big one, since the Hatsune Miku skin was releasing. However, it’ll also mark the introduction of Godzilla, and as a boss on the Fortnite map. What can we learn from this new trailer for the game’s latest feature?

New Fortnite Godzilla Boss Shown off in New Trailer

The new trailer for the Fortnite update shows off Godzilla attacking. Now we’ve gotten to know the new map, it’s obviously set in the best spot for a Godzilla attack, Seaport City. After a rift activates, Godzilla comes stomping in.

One thing that’s great about the trailer is it has confirmed the scale problem. Characters too big or too small sometimes get into Fortnite in a weird way, shrunk down to fit. The Godzilla skin will be shrunk down. However, the boss will now. It looks like the Fortnite Godzilla boss will be fully sized, big enough to fully attack a city!

This boss encounter will likely arrive alongside the skin. So, we can expect players to have quests or those bonus rewards to play with the boss. To deal damage and do other tasks related to the monster. We don’t know if it’ll drop any Fortnite Chapter 6 mythic yet, but there’s a lot of potential for some fun here.

Fortnite Godzilla Skin Coming to Chapter 6

Fortnite Chapter 6 is taking inspiration from Japan, from Oni-masks through to Godzilla showing up. The key art for the season reveals the character in quite a fun-looking design. But what exactly will he be? From how the character is lined up, it seems like he will be a skin and boss, as shown in the Chapter 6 trailer.

That begs the question of how he’ll be handled in-game. Godzilla feels too big. Although, he’s real sized in-game, the skin will be shrunk down. We could see him pushing how Fortnite hitboxes look, similar to the Giant Chicken. The skin might be chunkier, but since it’s a fun collab character it might get plenty of play still. T

We’re expecting the Fortnite Godzilla collab to come with the new update this week.
