In all of the outfits that you see in Battle Royale, the Fortnite Icon Series skins are some of the biggest! These are special skins. Where Epic takes a real-life person and brings them into the game. To a lot of people, it’s a big honor to end up in Fortnite. The Fortnite Icon Series isn’t huge though, at least considering how long it has been around. It’s not just anyone who ends up in this series. So far, we’ve seen a diverse group added in under the Fortnite Icon Series label. We’ve got Fortnite streamers who got big enough to warrant being included in the game itself. Then, there’s others who have gotten in from Olympic or sports prowess. Even some who are included as musicians, especially now Festival is in the game. Why Do Icons Have More Cosmetics Than Overs?

One big question with the Fortnite Icon Series Skins is why some are a much bigger deal than others. Why are some whole sets with multiple styles and every matching emote while others are more stripped back?

According to streamers included in the Icon Series, it’s because they asked. So later Icon Series inclusions knew they could ask for multiple styles and worked out their skins with Epic to have all that. However, others just went through the basic design process. It also probably comes down to how many branding and other concerns these figures have. Sports players and musicians likely have people already looking after these things, while some streamers just have to figure it out themselves.

This might be why they’ve gotten more elaborate over time, as streamers have started to plan bigger skins for their releases. As we’ve had recent ones like Nick Eh 30, the sets have gotten incredibly elaborate. Now, if you’d rather listen to Nick Eh 30 rap than the tracks in Fortnite Festival, you can.

Are More Fortnite Icon Series Skins Coming?

Definitely! The Icon Series is one of the most popular in Fortnite. It doesn’t look like it’s going to be slowing down anytime soon. We’ll continue to see more streamers and content creators added to the game over time, along with real-world figures that decide to work with Epic and become the latest Fortnite collab. However, who is going to be included is a bit more of a mystery.
