Fortnite iOS Returns in Select Regions for C5 S4
A new Fortnite season has just dropped! That happens every few months and for mobile players it meant very little with their game still stuck in Chapter 2. That’s changed in Fortnite C5 S4, now Fortnite iOS returns in some regions.
The comeback of Fortnite mobile has been talked about for quite a while now. originally, the game was available across mobile. Epic decided they didn’t want to give platform owners that big of a share of their Item Shop haul anymore. There were lawsuits, and the game went off mobile for some time.
Recent changes to legislation in Europe have meant that Epic is now free to host their own storefront on different mobile devices. Opening up a path for a Fortnite iOS return. However, it’s only with this new update that the game has actually become available.

With the most recent seasonal handover, Fortnite has had quite a few new features. In the European Union it’s rolling back out to iOS devices too. To download it though, you’ll have to go through the Fortnite iOS launcher and Epic Games Store. This is how you can do that:
- Go to fortnite.com/download on mobile
- Download the Epic Game Store launcher
- Allow Marketplace when prompted
- Launch the app, find Fortnite, then install the game!
That’s all you need to do. While courts forced Apple to allow these store fronts, a lot of scary warnings and requests for permissions are still popping up in the way. As long as you’re downloading it from the official Epic website though it should be fine to put the Epic Games Store on your device and jump back into Mobile Fortnite. The game is here in full again, all modes, FN updates, and content.

To celebrate Fortnite coming back to mobile devices, Epic is hosting a few different quests in-game! These are available for those using the Fortnite Mobile app specifically. Get them done and you’re able to unlock the Katalina Outfit, a new free Fortnite skin! You’ll have to do the tasks on mobile though.
The quests cover some basic tasks, You basically just need to earn 100,000 XP. It’s going to mean spending a little time on Mobile Fortnite, but it shouldn’t be too difficult to finish off.
