Fortnite Nitro Fists Still in Ranked – Pro Fortnite Menace Continues
Fortnite nitro Fists are one of the most items in this season. They’re not just great for rotation, but they’re also very strong items for breaking through builds and smashing the normal Fortnite meta. It’s not the only OP item though, which has led to a change in Ranked rules which hasn’t quite been followed though.
The current season of Fortnite has been a bit controversial and nerfs to overpowered items and machinery have been rolling out on a near-weekly basis. Eventually, Epic is moving to separate the Ranked and Unranked playlists. They’ve finally separated out the loot pools for Ranked mode again, removing some of the most contentious items. However, there’s one little hold-up. They didn’t actually remove everything.
Fortnite Nitro Fists are still in the Ranked mode. Despite Epic promising an end to the menace of Nitro Fists and Cars, they haven’t followed through. With us being in the middle of Summer too, it doesn’t look like we’ll see a fix for this anytime soon. Considering that separate loot pools are only here in the short term right now, we might not see Ranked matches without Fists for the rest of the season.

Fortnite Nitro Fists are Still in Ranked
For the Summer, Epic has separated the Ranked and pubs loot pools. This used to be the norm for Arena Mode at least. However, since changing to Ranked, Epic has kept everything uniform.
Even as Fortnite esports tournaments have had distinct loot pools, Ranked has matched pubs. Meaning players can’t really practice tournament conditions. For this summer event, they’ve gone back to a competitive loot pool. There are no cars, and supposedly no Nitro Fists. However, they’re still here.
Players have noticed Nitro Fists are still all over the game in Ranked. In matches, not expecting these items to be in play, players have found opponents nitro punching into boxes just like in pubs.
It seems there was some kind of error in setting up the Fortnite Ranked loot pool for this break. Fists are still turned on. Will it be fixed at any point? This current test of separate loot pools is seemingly only here for the summer break. By the time Epic is back to fix it, the period will be over.
Will A Competitive Loot Pool Stick Around?
If this current test is the only time that we get separate loot pools, we might not see a Ranked mode without Fortnite Nitro Fists. This would be a shame considering what was promoted. However, we could see this current different loot pool extended.

While it’s only been promoted as being part of the Summer event, we could see this change for Ranked stick around. This might mean we’ll see the Fortnite Nitro Fists eventually removed from the mode. Until Epic decides or announces what they’re doing with Ranked though, we won’t know what the plans are for these items in the competitive mode.
