Based on the latest leaks, the Fortnite x Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration isn’t going to be a one-off with skins alone. The crossover has been leaked and rumored for a long time and it is nearly here. It projects to be a pretty substantial crossover. Each season usually has one, such as the Avatar crossover in Chapter 5 Season 2, or the Solid Snake collaboration in Chapter 5 Season 1. While the secret skin in the battle pass isn’t related, it looks like Epic Games is pulling out all the stops for this one.

The Fortnite x Pirates of the Caribbean collab hasn’t arrived yet, but it is slated to arrive on July 19. On that day, Jack Sparrow and his counterparts will land in the Fortnite Item Shop. This is confirmed by Epic Games. There also figures to be a mini battle pass, which always suggests a huge crossover. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Avatar: The Last Airbender collaborations both got them and were both substantial.
Based on a leak from HYPEX, a reliable leaker in the gaming community, the crossover doesn’t stop there. On July 19, there will be a brand-new POI for the Pirates of the Caribbean. HYPEX has confirmed that it will be a lot like the pirate ship from Chapter 1 Season 8, so original players who miss the first chapter will be satisfied. To top it all off, Epic Games is also adding something else from OG Fortnite: cannons.
Cannons were a very popular item during the latter portion of the original chapter. They remained so when they returned in the OG season. They’re a fantastic mobility item, though players don’t use them as much for weapons. Based on the images provided, it looks like Jack Sparrow might be inhabiting this new unnamed POI as an NPC. Given the fact that there are NPCs and a POI, it’s very likely that this crossover gets items and more added to the game for the duration.
