For most of the month, we’ve been awaiting a big new update to Fortnite Reload. We’ve gotten confirmation of a few key details of this new change, including the Fortnite Reload Slurp Rush update. This is going to be the biggest update to the mode in quite a while, with a brand-new map coming. It’s all based on the original Chapter 2, and it’s going to have the name Slurp Rush.

Slurp Rush sounds like the Fortnite Reload map will be taking inspiration from one particular part of C2 map. The Slurp factory was a popular POI the whole way through Chapter 2, persisting for a lot of Fortnite seasons. The map has mini versions of quite a few new POIs though. This is what we’ve learned about the Fortnite Reload Slurp Rush update with the recent news:

The upcoming batch of content we’re expecting for Reload will likely move around the Fortnite loot pool for the mode, but the big change is the addition of a new map. Like the first Fortnite Reload map took inspiration from C1’s map, this new one seems to have taken a number of major POIs from the C2 map. But with the remix we expect from the Fortnite Reload mode.

These are the new POIs:

• Steamy Stacks – The big power plant from Chapter 2, but a little smaller
• Boomin Base
• Logjam Landing – The logging area from C2
• Fort Crumpet – An unnamed landmark, promoted to full POI
• Stilt Town
• Lockdown Lighthouse – The lighthouse on the far side of the map, now a proper POI
• Dirty Docks – The POI that stuck around over multiple seasons

The new Fortnite Reload Slurp Rush map is pretty exciting! It’ll be coming with some other changes to game play too. Fortnite leakers say the game will have cars activated on this map. Turning from flat props over to full driveable vehicles, like we see in the modern map. This is going to make some big changes to the way the game plays. We’ll also expect some C2 weapons to make their way into the game too.
