Best Fortnite Weapons in Galactic Battle

What are the best weapons this season? A Fortnite weapons tier list can be a good way to get a look at what to prioritize in looting. The game has plenty of guns, but they’re all pretty unconventional. The new season has done away with the traditional meta. But look past the weird Blaster names, and the best Fortnite weapons are actually quite close to what they were in the past.

While the loot pool has gotten quite a bit more complicated in more recent Fortnite patches, there’s still some strong guns. This season it’s all Blasters. They have the advantage of no reloads, but do handle differently. Since it’s only blasters, there’s still some that rise above the pack. Despite being a Star Wars season, this is actually quite low on novelty items which have dominated for a few Fortnite seasons now. Your time to kill could be quicker than ever if you know what to carry. This is how the current meta looks for a Fortnite weapons tier list.

Best Fortnite Weapons This Season

With the recent Fortnite update, we’ve had a major upset to the loot pool. Everything is gone… but we’ve got a whole new batch of guns to play with instead. It’s an update which has made the meta entirely different. How the new weapons look in a Fortnite weapons tier list?

S Tier – Fortnite Weapons Tier List

ACP Scatter Blaster

The standout weapon of the Fortnite weapons tier list for Galactic Battle. It’s a Pump Shotgun.

We might have moved over to blasters, but we’ve got equivalents of some old guns with blaster bolts instead of bullets. The Pump is slower than would be ideal, and deals less damage than you might be used to. But the whole Blaster season has made a lot of weapons less powerful, the Pump equivalent is by far the best weapon in its category.

1qa-11 Marksman Blaster Rifle

This marksman rifle is one of the best Fortnite weapons, not quite a sniper but closer to a DMR. Removing ammo from these weapons has turned out to make it a pretty good gun. The scope is much better than we’ve seen for most DMRs. But it does do a decent amount of damage and takes long enough to need a cooldown to kill.

This is a must carry this season. Especially since we’ve got limited options at longer ranges and mobility is quite low. The Mythic Marksman Rifle is even better if you track that down.

Jawa Blaster

In the Chewbacca update to the season, we had the Jawa Blaster added. This is a Shotgun which does one shot, then a lengthy cooldown. But that single shot can do a lot of damage! It deals over 160 body damage, but only slightly more for the body. Meaning it’s a gun you don’t need to hit headshots with. In fact, you only get about 20 extra damage for doing so. Factor in that it’ll one-shot kill people missing only a little bit of health and it’s a strong gun.

The Jawa Blaster can compete with the pump this season. It isn’t perfect and has clear drawbacks. But the gun is going to be fun to play around for the remaining few weeks before the season ends. Especially since it doesn’t need you to hit perfect headshots to do big damage.

Shockwaves

Shockwaves are normally a pretty great item. This season mobility is incredibly low though. They’re pretty much a must-carry.

Thermal Imploder

The Thermal Imploder might be the surprise hit of the season. It’s a grenade. But it does a strange implosion effect instead of an explosion. Not great for damage or knocking down builds. What’s special is a way to use it to rotate. Players can use builds to muffle the implosion, allowing them to get launched away.

The Thermal Imploder might have its secondary use nerfed, but since it’s just a mini season without major Fortnite esports tournaments, it could get to stay. The Thermal Imploder is definitely useful for this purpose.

A Tier – Fortnite Weapons Tier List

  • DL-44 Blaster Pistol – The pistol is a nice little weapon. It won’t be the most amazing thing in most loadouts but the Pistol is going to be the pop-off weapon for clips since it’s just a lot of fun to use.
  • E-11 Blaster – the E-11 Blaster is one of the most familiar out of the Fortnite weapons this season. It’s not great, but it does decent damage at the mid-range. It’s a bit better with the Phasma Medallion, and it does beat the other options at this range right now.
  • A280-CFE Blaster Rifle – This is the Scoped AR, decent damage. Outplayed by the marksman blaster but it’s decent.

B Tier – Best Fortnite Weapons Tier List

  • DLT Blaster Rifle – The equivalent of a heavy AR. Overheats too quickly, but can work at a push.
  • Lightsabers – These aren’t great. If you get a Force power with it, then the mobility tools and other ability can really help. However, on its own, it’s an underpowered melee weapon compared to what we’ve seen recently.
  • CR-2 Blaster – This one overheats pretty quickly. It’s a mid-range SMG style blaster.

C Tier

  • BARM-ST12 Scatter Blaster  – The final of the Fortnite weapons this season. It’s not great. This is the Auto shotgun equivalent and it’s on the weaker side. Usually it’s only worth it until you find a pump.

Force Powers – What’s the Best Lightsaber?

Outside of the Fortnite weapons this season, Force Powers are another extra factor to consider. If you want to carry the best Fortnite weapons every game, you might be picking up a lightsaber for the mobility. If you do, getting one through the portals with its added Force powers is definitely the better choice. But which are the best Force powers?

Force Lightning

An attack which gradually damages opponents. Quite easy to aim, and forgiving. It’ll also go through builds at a decent pace. Not a match for most of the best Fortnite weapons or shotguns, but you can get kills with it. It’s a solid pick.

Force Push

The better of the mobility force powers. Largely so you can spend final matches throwing players into the storm. It’s also easy to counter if players know how, but in pubs games it can be quite fun.

Saber Throw

This is one of the most unique ones. You throw your lightsaber. Not the best on the surface, but in box fights it’s useful. It smashes through builds and does guaranteed damage. It could be worth carrying for this, but it is a bit circumstantial.

Force Pull

This one is tricky. If you pull off a pull in, followed by a shotgun blast, it’s a showy way to grab a kill. But most of the time it’s kind of useless. Not the best one here.

Item Throw

The ability to pull in items and chuck them at people. It’s one of the worse ones. The items don’t do a lot of damage and the animation is quite long.
