Fortnite anime crossovers have been a little quieter over recent seasons, but it looks like one of the shows is getting a new wave of skins. Fortnite X Jujutsu Kaisen Wave 2 has just popped up in Fortnite leaks. Another set of cosmetics could be coming to the game from the series.
While anime collabs have been lighter lately, Chapter 6 Season 1 did see one added. Fortnite X Kaiju No. 8. We might not be waiting quite as long for our next collab either. The Fortnite X Jujutsu Kaisen Wave 2 leaks show a handful of new characters, so we could be seeing this collab come to the game soon. It’ll join a few other series in getting new waves.
Most anime collabs begin with their first wave, featuring the most obvious characters. Usually the protagonists. However, for the bigger series we’ve been getting second waves further down the line. For Dragon Ball and My Hero Academia, future waves included more side characters and some villains. It seems like we’re getting the same approach with Fortnite X Jujutsu Kaisen. A second wave will introduce three more skins.
While the leaks weren’t too specific on time, Epic’s shown off a new teaser which means wave 2 is arriving sooner than expected! This week, Epic posted a clear teaser for Wave 2 across their social media platforms. It’s unmistakably the rumoured skins.

This makes it the second Fortnite anime crossover in recent weeks after Kaiju no.8 dropped. This new teaser likely speeds up the timeline for these skins though. We’ll see them in the item shop pretty soon now, maybe even later this week.
It’s likely we’ll see this update hit the shop with the next patch or even sooner. The teaser shows off one of the rumoured skins too. It might mean we’re not getting the items back, but the skins should unlock sooner than expected.
With quite a bit of Jujutsu Kaisen still to be animated, this might not even be the end for the collab. Recent crossovers with anime that got second waves of skins have often had more. Dragon Ball seems to get a new batch all the time, and MHA has had quite a bit too. This could mean we’ll get even more Jujutsu Kaisen skins in the future.

Just like the second waves we’ve seen before, it’s getting a little deeper in its choices of characters. It’s always good to see a further expansion for Fortnite collabs like this though.
If you’re looking for the return of the in-game items and features though, it’s a little different. Sometimes these second waves bring the items back, but usually in a smaller capacity than the first time. However, for others it’s just an item shop thing. For example, some of the new Dragon Ball waves brought items back, but they haven’t bothered in quite a while now.
Since we only ever saw the Jujutsu Kaisen items in a limited capacity, they could be making a return. It’ll depend on the timing for the release of the Fortnite X Jujutsu Kaisen Wave 2 skins. We’ll just have to wait and see.
