New Fortnite Hotfix Vaults Hover Jets
Fortnite’s just kicked off a huge event, Fortnitemares. One problem was pretty immediately obvious though. The new items were fun, but there was no reason to use them. That same old OP items that have been dominating for weeks were still so much better. To fix that, the latest hotfix has finally vaulted the Hover jets in Fortnite.
The Hover Jets are a new form of Jetpack introduced this season. However, they’ve proven to be considerably more useful than a standard jet pack or most forms of mobility. Games have become an exercise in finding a jetpack. With players not able to keep up in the end game without one, especially in Zero Build. However, with Fortnitemares switching the focus we’ve seen the Hover Jets vaulted from the game.
What happened to the Hover Jets and what are your new options for mobility with them removed from the game?

Fortnite Hover Jets Vaulted in Hotfix
The latest hoftix has occurred just days into the most recent update. It’s reversed one of the biggest problems balancing problems with this patch.
In the Fortnite patch notes for the most recent event, there was a big change to mobility. We’ve had two major mobility items this season. The first has been the Hover Jets, a souped-up jetpack and a must-carry. A later patch was added the Shuri Claws. These are fine, but only really good for while you’re looking for a jetpack.
When the Fortnitemares update hit, it felt a little disappointing. As most of the game was still spent searching out a jetpack and making sure you could compete. There was no reason to use new items like the Witch’s Broom when this OP mobility item was still around.
Pretty quickly, players pointed out that vaulting the Jets and keeping the claws would have been a bit more balanced. With the recent hotfix, this has now happened! There’s still the Iron Man Flight Suit in the game for mobility and the new Witch’s Broom. However, gameplay is feeling very different without the Hover Jets in the game.
