Lego Fortnite’s latest update has made the game much bigger, adding in new Star Wars builds and items. Maybe the most exciting out of the new additions though are the lightsabers in Lego Fortnite. These items are some of the best (and, frankly, only) weapons we’ve gotten so far. Lego Fortnite is a more non-violent place than Battle Royale, we’re limited to fantasy or abstract weapons. Since guns are off-limits, lightsabers are going to be a great tool to keep around. Where can you find lightsabers in Lego Fortnite though?
The central mechanic of Lego Fortnite is essentially the grind for resources. For anything you want to build, you’ve got to track down parts and grind them before you can craft them. Finding materials like flexwood in Lego Fortnite has to be done before you can build certain items. Lightsabers aren’t exactly made from sticks and sand though. You might not be crafting, but there’s still some leveling up to be done first. so how can you craft these?
It’s going to be a bit more complicated than in Battle Royale. Lightsabers are pretty much exclusive to Lego Fortnite in this collab, other than the one dropped by Darth Vader in Battle Royale. If you want to track them down and become a Jedi in Lego Fortnite, this is where you can find them.

Lego Fortnite’s normal system for crafting isn’t the main method to getting Lightsabers! There are pluses and negatives to that. It does mean you’re free from the resource grind. However, you’ll still have to jump through plenty of hoops before you receive one. You’ll get a Lego Fortnite lightsaber after you upgrade a Rebel outpost, but there’s a bit of a journey to get there.

The first step is to track down the rebel outpost in your Lego Fortnite World.
Once you start up the Lego Fortnite Star Wars update content, you’ll see a Star Destroyer drop into your world. Then, you’ll meet Captain Bravara. A key NPC in your Lego Fortnite Star Wars journey. They’ll hand over a key item, the macrobinoculars. Use this to find the Rebel Outpost. You’ll see this marked by a Blue rebel symbol on your binoculars.

Once in the Rebel Outpost, you’ll need to start leveling it up. There are a few different steps to doing this. To get Lightsabers in Lego Fortntie you need to reach Level 6. That means you need to clear debris, build a farm, build beds, make shortswords, and the stable. Then, you need to defeat 10 different stormtroopers.

Once all of this is done, you can build the final few structures like a workshop to get up to Level 6. Along the way, you’ll have to recruit villages and generally build an entire settlement. Outside of grinding wood and killing stormtroopers though, it isn’t too time-intensive.

The next step once you’ve finished up Level 6 is to return to Captain Bravara. They’ll give you a Lightsaber! This is the method to unlock your first saber. However, you can get more over time too. Players will also get a clearance code for reaching this step. You can use these to get into Imperial Bunkers which will contain more ready-built Lightsabers!

That’s how you can collect extras. Getting your first Lightsaber requires a bit of leg work. Once it’s completed though, they are a bit easier to come across.
