What’s the Most Popular Fortnite Skin?
Fortnite skins come in pretty much every shape and size, from crazy crossovers to just Jonesy in a different outfit. However, they aren’t all equally popular. What is the most used Fortnite skin or the most popular Fortnite skin? If we’re looking, in raw terms, at how much they’re used in games then the results can be surprising.
Thanks to the way the Fortnite API communicates with trackers, we can see what the most popular Fortnite skin is. Not quite in the way of seeing which is the most liked. Short of doing a poll between all the skins in Fortnite, but with 2,000 different looks splitting the vote it might not be particularly helpful data. Instead, we can see which of the skins are used the most in actual games.

Which is the most used Fortnite skin? The exact number 1 might not be a huge surprise. However, there are quite a few high-up skins that you might not expect.
Top 10 Most Popular Fortnite Skins
What are the top 10 top most used Fortnite skins? Looking at the data from the API in the most recent season, these are our top 10 most used overall.
10. Par Patroller

Source: Epic
Par Patroller is one of the most used Fortnite skins in history, but it had been out of favor for a while. Lately, the skin has popped back up though. Only just making it into the most used Fortnite skins once again.
Par Patroller is a golf skin, but for some reason it was a Chapter 1 sweat skin. It’s popped back up a lot recently, being a popular choice for sweaty players.
9. Joltara

Source: Epic Games
Joltara is a bit tricky to separate from another skin on this list, it’s a Superhero skin. This means while it’s supposed to have a unique appearance, most people play it as a blank-colored character without any distinguishing features.
8. Surf Witch

Source: Epic
Another big sweat skin in Fortnite is Surf Witch. This one is of a beach outfit for what’s supposed to be a witch. It’s a fun skin but really just another generic female Fortnite skin. It’s popular with sweats, you see it in most major tournaments.
7. Lyric

Source: Epic
The next is another summery skin, Lyric. This one was part of a summer festival promotion from Epic. It’s become popular with tournament pros, so the general player base has followed. It’s now one of the most used Fortnite skins.
6. Catwoman

Source: Epic
Catwoman is a more recent entry to the most played Fortnite skins. It’s a sleek design that’s mainly a single color, which makes it useful for competitive play. With how many will have sold, it’s probably made the return of DC skins quite the success!
5. Serenade

Source: Epic
Serenade is one of the new Fortnite skins to make it to this list. It’s only popped up as one of the most played in the Galactic Battle season. It’s a skin that’s in the item shop all the time, so serenade has been easy to pick up.
4. Backlash

Source: Epic Games
The next of the most used Fortnite skins is Backlash. The most used skin in the game at nearly 2.3% of players. What’s special about Backlash? It’s that blank-slate superhero skin you see all over the game. One of the sweatiest Fortnite skins, and just a plain and simple color over a skin. If you’ve played for long enough this probably isn’t the biggest surprise, you see this skin absolutely everywhere.
Maybe in future Fortnite seasons, we’ll see something else finally take the rank of most popular Fortnite skins. However, the superhero skin has stayed very popular for a long time. It’ll probably take something special to take over from that one.
3. Psycho Bandit

This one was at one point was of the rarest Fortnite skins, but now it’s one of the most used in the entire game. Psycho Bandit returned to the game after a major absense pretty recently.
Pyscho Bandits return has made it a really common sight in games. In Galactic Battle, Pyshco Bandit is in pretty much every game.
2. Chani

Another skin that was rare at one point but now is one of the most used skins is Chani. The Dune character has made it to the 2nd most popular in the whole game.
How exactly? Dune wasn’t exactly a huge Fortnite collab. It got a couple of skins and an emote. The film series isn’t exactly something aimed at Fortnite’s target demographics, so originally the collab just kind of came and went without much fanfare. More recently though, sweats discovered it was another female hitbox skin that primarily used a single color, so they lept on it. Now you see multiple Chanis in each tournament, which has meant demand for the skins to come back, and made them even more common in lobbies.
1. Apprentice Evie

Source: Epic
The most used Fortnite skins often draw from the most recent Battle Pass, and apprentice Evie seems to be the breakout skin from Galactic Battle. The Jedi version of Evie is the most popular right now. Since the rest of the Pass is either Star Wars characters or whatever Wookie Team Leader is supposed to be, Apprentice Evie is a clear stand out.
Nonsense i find more Peter Griffin, Juice Wrld,Eminem and that douche from Dragon ball Z more than anything else
Lately a lot of Santa Snoop and Yule Jacket as well
