How to Craft Mace in Minecraft
Presently, the Mace in Minecraft cannot be obtained already complete. There’s no way to find it in chests or anywhere else. To acquire this item, you must craft it. Unfortunately, that’s easier said than done. The mace requires two primary items to craft: a Breeze Rod and a Heavy Core. Both are brand new 1.21 items and neither are easy to find. The Breeze Rod is, as the name suggests, the item dropped by a Breeze. This mob is also brand new to 1.21.
Breeze rods in Minecraft
Breezes spawn exclusively in Trial Chambers, which are also brand new to this update. In the copper-based structure, there are trial spawners that will put these hostile mobs out into the world. It functions similarly to a blaze with blaze spawners. These mobs are challenging, so we don’t recommend fighting them unless you have strong weapons and armor. They drop two breeze rods upon death. With Looting III on a sword, they can drop up to eight.
Heavy cores
The second item you need is a heavy core, which is much more difficult to obtain in Minecraft. Within the Trial Chambers, there is a Vault. This is the main attraction in a Trial Chamber. The Ominous Vault is a variant of that Vault which has can be activated by using Ominous Potions. If you luck out and find one, you’ll need to open it with a key. This key can be obtained by defeating the mobs that spawn from a Trial Spawner. Once all the mobs are defeated, they’ll drop a Trial Key or Ominous Trial Key
After unlocking the ominous vault, there is an 8.3% chance it will drop the Heavy Core. Despite all that effort, you still might get unlucky and miss out on the Heavy Core. This makes the Minecraft mace very difficult to obtain. If you or your friends get one, it will likely be one of the only ones in that world!
Unfortunately, finding Trial Spawners is not easy. They are essentially just like the Woodland Mansion. This means you can find them, but if you want to know where they are, you will need to purchase a level two map from a Cartographer villager. This is the only way to ensure you find one, and they are not common. If you see copper blocks out in the wild, though, this is a good indication that there’s a trial spawner.
Fortunately, the Mace is well worth the difficulty. It has 250 durability and can be repaired using your spare breeze rods. The mace has a 1.6 attack speed and a 0.625 cooldown. It can deal at least seven hearts of damage (eight on Bedrock Edition) or more depending on the fall damage taken after the hit.
