According to a release, Jameel will bring a series of experiences to the EWC around the world of motorsport. From speed karting to immersive sim and VR racing, the partner will give attendees a chance to experience the combination of motorsports and gaming through the “Jameel Motorsport Park”. Additionally, visitors will get access to merchandise from Toyota, Rally Jameel, GR, and Jameel Motorsport at the event.

“Our strategic partnership with the Esports World Cup Foundation represents a very exciting venture,” said Peter Aberle, CEO at Abdul Latif Jameel Motors. “This new initiative underlines our commitment to engage the people of Saudi Arabia by introducing and developing projects that align with Vision 2030’s socio-economic growth objectives. Together, we look forward to inspiring and empowering a new generation of gamers and racing enthusiasts across the world.”

“We are excited to welcome Jameel Motorsport to the EWC family,” said Ralf Reichert from Esports World Cup Foundation. “Together, we will deliver unforgettable experiences to gamers and racing fans worldwide.”

Jameel Motorsport is part of a long list of partners for the EWC, including the likes of Amazon as e-commerce partner, LG UltraGear, Pepsi, Adidas, TikTok, and many others.

EWC is already underway

The announcement came a few days after the beginning of the EWC, which officially started on July 3 and will last through August 25. The event is the biggest esports event in MENA, featuring a $60 million combined prize pool for a total of 21 game titles. Despite the grandeur of the competition, the event was under scrutiny by the esports community due to the backing of the Saudi Arabian government and concerns about the country’s human rights record.
