Akali took a turn to the darker side of the League of Legends lore with Covenant Akali. She looks downright terrifying in the splash art, making this the perfect skin for her alter ego. The purple on her weapons is visually stunning, and Riot made an excellent choice bringing Akali to the Covenant skin line.

When it comes to Akali, we didn’t think Riot would give her a Star Guardian skin. It doesn’t fit in with the former assassin she was in League of Legends lore. Nevertheless, we have Star Guardian Akali which was released in 2022 as part of one of the newer Star Guardian skin releases.

Every year, Riot Games releases a skin line in celebration of the previous year’s winners of the League of Legends World Championship. In 2022, DRX did the unthinkable, running the gauntlet from play-ins to hoisting the Summoners Cup in what is one of the biggest Cinderella stories in League of Legends esports history. For Zeka, he chose Akali as his champion to be represented in the LoL Worlds skins line.

After the debut of K/DA at Worlds 2018, K/DA returned to the international stage in 2020 with their ALL OUT skin line. Riot produced another K/DA performance as part of the League of Legends World Championship opening ceremony. K/DA is back and is bigger than ever, with brighter lights, more hit songs, and more stunning skins. My personal favorite from the Akali skins collection.

Akali in a pop band? No way! But yes, Akali is one of the main features in the League of Legends pop band K/DA. In 2018, the band featured as part of the 2018 LoL World Championship opening ceremony to perform their debut song “Popstars” which featured Madison Beer, Jaira Burns, and (G)I-dle members Miyeon and Soyeon. One of the best Akali skins according to the playerbase.
