Best Bot Lane Duos to play in Patch 14.4

When you play solo queue in League of Legends, there might be times when you will be playing with a friend or partner. Duo queue has been a rising tool that players use to increase their chances of victory and climb the ladder faster.

This is particularly common for bottom laners, as the two can take advantage of the champions’ synergy, as well as communication, to stomp the enemies and snowball the game more often.

If you’re not sure which pairings are stronger currently, we have created a list of the best bot lane duos for the current Patch 14.4. We will be going over the key strengths of each duo, hoping that it will help you win more games.

Draven – Blitzcrank

The first bot lane duo we recommend playing this patch is the combo of Draven and Blitzcrank. While the two are a known combo, the two have been finding great success as a lane counter to other meta pairings.

Thanks to the high early-game damage Draven offers and Blitzcrank’s pick potential with his hooks, the two can make the laning phase almost impossible to play for the enemies. One landed hook and the target is likely going to be blown up by Draven’s axes.

The only issue with this pairing is that the Draven player must be incredibly good mechanically and that Blitzcrank has a keen eye to punish the slightest mistake from the enemy team. This is also why the two are not played as often as other champions.

Xayah – Rakan

Moving onto another duo, we have Xayah and Rakan. With other meta ADC champions getting nerfed lately, Xayah has risen up once again as one of the strongest marksmen champions. And there is no better partner than Rakan by her side.

The two have incredible synergy with their kits and they offer a balanced package of both engage and disengage tools. Not to mention that the two have the recall interaction which can be impactful during the laning phase for recall timers and getting back to lane faster with better wave states.

As long as there is a good level of coordination between the two players, you are guaranteed to have success with a Xayah-Rakan pairing, regardless of the meta and what state they might be in.

Twisted Fate – Blitzcrank

You probably would call me crazy if you were to play Twisted Fate as an ADC, but he’s actually one of the hottest picks in the bottom lane. His AD build is incredibly powerful, and I was also surprised at first to see how oppressive it was.

The great thing about this combo is that Twisted Fate can always initiate a skirmish with his gold card, giving enough time for Blitzcrank to chain up the CC chain. The inverse also works, giving multiple options to see this bot lane duo.

On top of that, these two have incredible map roaming potential: both champions can quickly move across the map to help snowball other lanes, especially in the mid lane. Give it a try: you’ll quickly realize how OP this combo is.

Senna – Maokai

The last bot lane duo we recommend playing this patch is Senna and Maokai. These two champions share incredible synergy, especially once both get access to their respective ultimates. Maokai offers good reliable engage with the ability to gather multiple enemies thanks to his ultimate, perfectly setting up Senna for her auto attacks and ultimate.

But what’s even better is that Maokai will be able to farm, making him quite beefy and difficult to kill. Thanks to her passive, Senna will be able to stay relevant and dish out damage in the late stages of the game. The amount of crowd control these two have is nearly unbeatable.

That being said, both champions do not have much mobility and they can be shut down early on: make sure that doesn’t happen or the entire bot lane will be over in just a few minutes.
