Just like every single ADC in LoL, Jhin has a higher success rate with certain champions: here are the five best supports to play alongside him.
The best supports with Jhin are champions that can chain up the combos with him and take advantage of his long-range abilities, ideally with crowd controls.
Some of his support choices can change based on the meta.
The best evergreen supports for Jhin are Karma, Bard, Nami, and Lux.
Jhin without a good support can be troublesome, since it can ruin his laning phase and then his value as he scales up later in the game. Therefore, it’s essential to know which champions work best with him to make sure he can be impactful in the decisive teamfights.
The first one on our list is Nami. Aside from the fact that she has been one of the best support champions in the meta since the start of the season, her synergy with Jhin is optimal. She provides good heals that allow Jhin to survive the laning phase better and has plenty of crowd controls in her kit which she can easily link up with. On top of that, she can use her E to boost his auto attacks and movement speed, giving him more space to kite enemies around.
The downside of this bot lane duo is that both champions are squishy and relatively immobile: it’s important not to get caught repeatedly by the enemy jungler or Jhin will fall off from behind.

Xerath is considered one of the best support picks alongside Jhin. Despite his low popularity, the control mage has so much range in his abilities that the two can constantly poke and harass the enemy bot lane to bully them out. It will make it almost impossible for them to play during the early stages of the game, and the opponents will be forced to either back off or lose a lot of experience and farm.
The great advantage about this combination is that the two will always dictate the pace of the minion wave, guaranteeing them lane priority which can become handy when you’re looking to stack up dragons. When you’re pushing, you can call your jungler to the objective and help him out once you’ve shoved waves. In the teamfights, both Xerath and Jhin can cast their ultimates to snipe people across the map, guaranteeing great AoE damage from a safe distance.
That being said, Xerath has no defensive tools aside from his E, and this bot lane can be severely punished for hard engages. On top of that, there are a few Xerath counters in LoL that can break this bot lane combo.

If you’re not a fan of Xerath support, then Lux can be the alternative for you. Just like the other mage champion, she can use her abilities to poke the enemies during the laning phase and have Jhin follow up with his own. Compared to Xerath, Lux is more burst-damage based, meaning that you will have more chances to take down a single enemy. Jhin is actually considered one of the best ADCs for Lux, thanks to their synergy, their ultimates, and double long-range poke.
The downside of this combo is the same as the others mentioned previously: the champions are relatively immobile and can be easily shut down if caught. It’s key to play around with vision control and understand when the right moment to play aggressively is.

If the other champions are aggressive, then Karma is more of a balanced choice when played with Jhin. While she does bring decent poke to the table, her kit is also designed to help him survive incoming threats. She can cast shields that also grant him movement speed, running away from the enemies and improving his kiting potential. This can be combined with Jhin’s own added movement speed from his passive, making him quickly reposition from the danger.
The coordination needed for this bot lane duo, however, is quite high since Karma needs to time her defensive ability based on how Jhin is playing.

Jhin can easily follow up the combo or even be the initiator if he can lock down the target with his W. Once Pyke has the ultimate, this bot lane duo has enough damage to quickly burst down any target.
A clear weakness of this duo is that Pyke falls off heavily past the mid-game due to his squishiness. Unless Jhin has taken over a lot of resources, it will be then hard to have the same impact later in the game.
