Illaoi is an AD Top Laner bruiser who likes to deal damage and is tanky while doing it.

If you pick a tank into Illaoi, you are in for a rough laning phase. Her tether will allow her to poke you out, especially because your champion can only deal damage up close, which is where Illaoi thrives. Once she hits level 6, good luck trying to beat her; even in a 1v2, Illaoi is mostly favored due to the healing she receives.

Here are Illaoi’s abilities in League of Legends:

  • Prophet of an Elder God (Passive): Illaoi spawns tentacles on nearby terrain. These Tentacles can slam into enemy champions. Illaoi can trigger a slam using any of her abilities. These Tentacle Slams deal Physical Damage. If Slam connects with an enemy champion, Illaoi heals for 5%.
  • Tentacle Smash (Q):  Illaoi Swings her weapon forward, causing a Tentacle to slam forward, dealing Physical Damage.
  • Harsh Lesson (W): Illaoi’s next attack will leap at the target, causing any nearby Tentacles to slam.
  • Test of Spirit (E): Illaoi pulls the spirit of the enemy champion she hits. This spirit, like an enemy champion, can be damaged. If the Spirit dies or the target leaves the range, the target is marked for 10 seconds. Marked champions spawn Illaoi’s Tentacles every 5 seconds.
  • Leap of Faith (R): Illaoi smashes her weapon into the ground, dealing Physical Damage to nearby enemies. For the next 8 seconds, Tentacles are untargettable and 50% faster. During her Ultimate, Harsh Lesson also has a 2 second cooldown.

What Is The Difference Between AP and AD?

Attack Damage and Ability Power are the two primary stats used in League of Legends. Attack Damage exists in all Champions and determines a champion’s ‘basic attack’ damage without outside interference. Ability Power is the counterpart to attack damage, and unlike AD, AP is built on champions who function differently from AD champions, such as Mages and Casters.
