Teemo is a very annoying champion to play against; the champion you choose is vital. If you select a low-ranged melee champion, you are asking for trouble. Teemo is a lane bully, and any time you attempt to walk up close to him, you will take significant damage.

The goal with Teemo is simple: be as annoying as humanly possible by poking them at every possibility. Teemo usually has the ranged advantage, so applying his poison shouldn’t be difficult.

Here is the rundown for one of the most annoying kits in League of Legends:

  • Guerrilla Warfare (Passive) Makes Teemo invisible after not moving or taking damage for 1.5 seconds. Teemo will automatically go stealthily in a brush, and moving will not break it. Once Teemo breaks stealth, he gains extra attack speed.
  • Blinding Dart (Q): Teemo shoots a dart at the enemy champion, dealing Magic Damage. Once the dart has hit a champion, they are Blind for a short duration and cannot use auto-attacks.
  • Move Quick (W). The passive to this ability gives Teemo extra movement speed if he has not taken damage for 5 seconds. The active for Move Quick instantly gives Teemo movement speed for three seconds.
  • Toxic Shot (E): Toxic Shot is a passive ability that empowers Teemo’s basic attacks, applying on-hit bonus Magic Damage and Poison.
  • Noxious Trap (Ultimate): Teemo throws a poisonous mushroom into the target location before him. Once on the ground, the mushroom becomes invisible after arming for one second. The mushroom will explode if an enemy player steps on it, applying poison Magic Damage every second over four seconds and slowing them.

Teemo is an AP champion that benefits off of ability power and attack speed items. Three out of four of his abilities apply magic damage, while the fourth gives him movement speed boost. Don’t fall for the AD Teemo trap. AD Teemo is ‘good’, but only against tanky teams because it does percent of health damage.
