Thanks to their strong start to the summer split, these three teams have already locked in a spot in the championship. NRG, DIG, 100T, IMT, and SR will be fighting for the three remaining spots in the playoffs.
The LCS underwent big changes this season. Not only did it implement the live patch matches in spring, but it also decided to change the regular split to a single round robin and bring back the Bo3 format.
LCS Championship format
The championship will now follow the same format as the LCK, with the top 2 teams getting a bye in the first round and the #3-#6 teams competing in the first round. The losers will drop to the lower bracket while the winners will then face the #1 and #2 seeds. At the end of the LCS Championship, the top three teams will be the three seeds representing NA at Worlds 2024.
Just a few months before the start of the biggest global event of the 2024 season, Global Head of Esports Naz Aletaha has decided to leave Riot Games.
The Schedule
The full schedule is yet to be confirmed but we do know that the LCS championship will begin on August 17 and the Grand Final will take place on September 7 at the YouTube Theater, in Inglewood, CA, United States.
