LoL Patch 13.23 – What changes are coming?
Patch 13.22 welcomed a series of nerfs to some of the most powerful picks in the meta, as well as a few adjustments on some champions like Seraphine and Janna to better position them as supports. Another notable series of changes was the attack speed buffs to most mid lane mages with the hopes of making their auto attacks less clunky and consistent across the board.
Moreover, there is a vision adjustment that is going to impact the high Elos of the ranked ladder mainly. The reveal radius on attacks is lower and it will also last less so that your teammates don’t get revealed while you’re clearing the ward.
With season 13 coming to an end soon, we will be preparing for the new pre-season, which is going to be in January with Patch 14.1. But before that, we will be getting the return of LoL Arena in Patch 13.23 and a few more adjustments to the meta.

Patch 13.23 Release Date
According to the official patch schedule, Patch 13.23 will be released on Tuesday, November 21. After that, there will be one more patch before the end of season 13.
How will the upcoming patch impact the meta?
The planned turret changes are quite interesting and worth taking a deeper look at. Riot devs are seemingly looking to give more power to side lanes by granting extra local gold. This will indirectly buff up all the duelists and champions that can exert strong side lane pressure. The inhibitor is also quite interesting: it will make split pushing even more relevant to make better trades on the map. For example, getting an inhibitor for a dragon is going to feel a lot more balanced compared to the current meta.
By looking at the champion changes, Jarvan’s Q nerf might be enough to push him down from the top spot in the jungle. Trundle’s buffs seem nice but not enough to push him in the meta. K’Sante finally gets hit after he has been quite powerful. Ziggs has been quite strong as well and deserved some nerfs. Curious to see how the Riven and Vel’Koz buffs will impact the champions’ play rate: I don’t expect them to be meta all of a sudden, but it might give them more space in the meta, especially when played by OTPs.
