ONE Esports will continue to be LCK Official Media Partner in 2023
ONE Esports extends their deal as Official Media partner in 2023
The esports media platform ONE Esports, a subsidiary of ONE Championship™ (ONE), has extended its partnership with the Korean League championship LCK. ONE Esports is one of the largest esports media companies in South Asia, with a website that produces content for esports pros and fans. According to research conducted by ONE Esports, the Southeast Asian gaming and esports market could be 225m strong.
ONE Esports will continue to create and distribute content from the League as the LCK’s ‘Official Media Partner’. It will manage the production of coverage. All video content, including tournament highlights, player interviews, fan interactions, and more, will be distributed across ONE Esports’ digital channels. According to theesportsadvocate, the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“It is motivating to work with the dedicated team at League of Legends Champions Korea Limited who are committed to delivering high quality events and telling remarkable stories. The popularity of League of Legends Champions Korea, coupled with ONE Esports’ passionate fanbase and extensive reach, will take the tournament’s phenomenal success to the global stage,” said Carlos Alimurung, CEO, ONE Esports.
“We are excited to welcome ONE Esports as our newest partner for League of Legends Champions Korea,” said Aiden Lee, the Secretary-General, League of Legends Champions Korea Limited. “Storytelling is such an important aspect in esports because it allows our audience to engage with our brand and talents in deep and meaningful ways. We are thrilled that with ONE Esports’ expertise and presence in esports, we will be able to bring LCK closer to fans around the world.”
It’s a major opportunity for the LCK this year
Sponsors and brands working with the LCK will have a great opportunity to expose their brand to the public, given that Korea has dominated the 2022 World Championship, with a full-Korean final and three LCK teams in the top four.
ONE Esports joins a number of valuable sponsors, including major endemic brands like Logitech G, Secretlab, LG, OMEN by HP, as well as bb.q Chicken, Tiffany & Co., Seoul-based esports analytics firm OP.GG, and South Korean cinema chain CJ CGV.
On top of that, Riot Games announced on Jan. 10 that the League of Legends World Championship is returning to Korea in 2023, and will be held in Seoul, South Korea at the end of the year. Paired with a new exciting Worlds tournament format, these brands will likely get an incomparable level of visibility.
